Sony ZV-E10 II Mirrorless Camera (Body Only)

With improved features that expand upon its content-creation-focused predecessor, the Sony ZV-E10 II is outfitted with a 26MP APS-C sensor for faster performance and high-quality imagery in a compact form factor designed for vloggers. This aligns the ZV-E10 II with tried and true models such as the FX30 and the a6700. Built-in creative shooting modes, a 3-capsule directional microphone, and a 3" articulating LCD touchscreen with vertical orientation support and integrated tally light make for a powerful multi-purpose vlogging device. Other notable upgrades with the ZV-E10 II include a 759-point phase detection autofocus system, Cinematic Vlog mode, and compatibility with larger-capacity NP-FZ100 batteries.

Optimised Camera-Design

A rear 3" 1.04m-dot touchscreen LCD with a flip-out design allows you to easily film yourself or take selfies with ease. When recording, an integrated tally lamp creates a red border around the LCD. If you're filming vertically for TikTok or Instagram, your LCD screen will flip to display information vertically as well.

A directional 3-capsule microphone is specifically designed for forward-directional audio recording for vlog and interview applications. A dedicated windscreen minimises distortion when filming outdoors.

Both 3.5mm microphone and headphone ports are also featured for more advanced audio recording, and the Multi Interface Shoe also benefits audio recording capabilities. This accessory shoe supports a digital audio interface that helps to achieve lower noise during recording and also eliminates cable clutter and the need for external power when working with compatible shoe-mounted mics.

Connectivity and Live Streaming

Ports on the ZV-E10 II include a micro-HDMI video output and USB-C data output, which can facilitate video sharing to a computer or compatible mobile device. You can even live stream to social media using the USB-C data port or integrated 5 GHz WiFi. The USB-C data port also supports high-speed wired transfers to a compatible device through the Sony Creators App. RTMP, RTMPS, and SRT streaming protocols are supported as well as UVC standards, which allow you to use the camera as a webcam.

Specialised Shooting Modes

Product Showcase setting is ideal for vlogging and product review or demonstration videos and allows for quick and smooth focus transitions between a subject's face and an object placed in front of the lens.

Background Defocus lets you immediately switch to the maximum aperture setting of the attached lens, using a custom button function, for isolating your subject using shallow depth of field and bokeh.

Focus Breathing Compensation actively corrects any visual distortion that might occur while manually or automatically toggling your camera's focus.

Slow & Quick (S&Q) mode allows shooters to capture Full HD video at specified steps between 1-120 fps. These settings will allow you to slow down action as well as speed up a slow-moving scene.

Image Quality, Autofocus, and 4K Video

Similar to the sensor found on the FX30 or a6700 flagship, the ZV-E10 II has an APS-C-format 26MP Exmor CMOS sensor for smooth, nuanced image quality with minimal noise. A high sensitivity range of ISO 100-32000 can be further expanded to ISO 102400 for increased low-light performance. The sensor works in tandem with an upgraded BIONZ XR processor for 8x faster performance with an increased 5.6K oversampling area.

Increased Phase Detection

The ZV-E10 II has fast-hybrid 759-point phase detection and subject-recognition algorithms for improved subject recognition. Real-time Eye AF can prioritise focusing on human or animal eyes for ensured sharpness when making portraits. When selected, this function is activated by half-pressing the shutter button, and you can further choose to prioritise either the right or left eye. Real-time tracking utilises AI-based algorithms and automatically recognises and tracks moving subjects. If Face/Eye Priority AF is on, this tracking method will further track a subject's eye or face in real-time depending on the status of the moving subject.

4K Video Recording

UHD 4K video recording is possible up to 60p and uses full pixel readout with 5.6K oversampling to yield greater detail with reduced moiré and aliasing. Full HD 1080p recording is also supported in frame rates up to 120 fps, and both resolutions utilise the 600 Mb/s XAVC HS and XAVC S-I formats with 4:2:2 sampling. The camera includes S-Cinetone and S-Log 3 colour, which make for better grading control and full utilisation of the 14-stop dynamic range. You can also assign LUTs or use the Creative Looks mode to apply preset colour effects to your footage while shooting.

Larger Battery Capacity

In order to accommodate the NP-FZ100 battery, the ZV-E10 II now has a slightly larger body design while still maintaining an overall compact form factor for portability. When using the NP-FZ100 battery, you can now record approximately 610 shots per charge for a 30% increase over the previous model. Power can also be supplied to the camera through the USB-C port or by using the optional power adapter.
