The REAL TIME LUT function revolutionises your content. You can apply cinematic looks directly in-camera, without time-consuming editing. Choose from a wide range of LUTs (signature presets) in the LUMIX Lab app or create your own personal style, to use in camera.

LUMIX Lab App

Shoot to share in less than 30sec with fast photo and video transfer. Easy pairing with 3 steps to get you connected sooner. In app editing means you can also crop, adjust brightness, apply LUT (signature preset), and share directly from the app and so much more.

Focus on Fast Subjects

The Phase Hybrid autofocus ensures sharp images with both still and moving subjects. For video it guarantees your subject is always in focus, wherever in the frame with intelligent subject detection.

High-Resolution 4K/6K Videos

Record breathtakingly beautiful scenery and memorable moments you want to treasure in high quality in 4K/6K and capture epic slow motion at 180fps.

Flexible Framing (Open Gate)

Capture what you need and crop what you don't. Get all the aspect ratios from one shot. If you want to edit it later, the new MP4(Lite) mode 4K video is perfect for transferring to your smartphone. Just use the LUMIX Lab app to crop it to your desired aspect ratio.

Smooth Handheld Videos and Slow Shutter Photos

Shoot handheld photos without camera shake. Powerful image stabilisation that keeps your footage smooth, no matter the situation.

From shooting to posting in 30 seconds: The total time it takes to transfer a JPEG photo or a 5-second short video shot in MP4(Lite) mode to an iOS-supported smartphone using the LUMIX LAB app, including cropping in case of video, and posting to social media. Study conducted under Panasonic standards. Results may vary depending on network environment.

The Panasonic Lumix S 18-40mm f/4.5-6.3 is the ultimate compact wide-angle zoom lens for photographers who want versatility without the bulk. Built for the L-Mount system, this lens packs serious performance into a lightweight frame, making it perfect for landscape, architectural, and everyday shooting. With a focal range of 18-40mm, you're covered for everything from expansive vistas to street scenes, all in one small package.

The lens construction features 8 elements in 7 groups, including 3 aspherical elements, 2 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) elements, and a UHR (Ultra-High Refractive Index) element, designed to keep those pesky distortions and chromatic aberrations at bay. The results are clear, sharp images with excellent contrast, even in tricky lighting conditions.

For close-up enthusiasts, the Lumix S 18-40mm focuses down to 0.15m at the wide end, offering a maximum magnification of 0.28x at 21mm - ideal for capturing fine details. Built tough, it's dust and splash resistant, so it won't let you down when the weather turns, and it's designed to operate between -10°C and 40°C. With a 62mm filter thread and a compact 67.9mm maximum diameter, this lens is the perfect travel companion.
