Panasonic Lumix G X Vario PZ 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH with Power O.I.S Lens (Black)

The black LUMIX G X Vario PZ 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. The lens is a wide-angle to a telephoto zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras that provide a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 28-84mm. Electric-powered zoom (PZ) operation allows smooth, precise control over zoom placement and also avails a compact overall length of 1.1" when fully retracted. Manual focus control is possible through the use of a manual focus lever, while fast, precise, Light Speed AF-compatible autofocus is also supported through the implementation of an internal focusing design and a stepping AF motor. To minimize the appearance of camera shake, a POWER O.I.S. image stabilizer has also been integrated into the lens to benefit from working in low-light conditions and with slower shutter speeds.

Four aspherical elements and two extra-low dispersion elements are incorporated within the optical design and help to reduce distortions and chromatic aberration throughout the zoom range to realize high image sharpness and clarity. Additionally, Nano Surface Coating has also been applied to suppress lens flare and ghosting to produce true color fidelity and high contrast.

The white box version of this lens includes all accessories as well as a limited one-year warranty but is shipped in plain packaging as opposed to traditional manufacturer's packaging.

Features:

Wide-angle to telephoto zoom lens provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 28-84mm to suit working in a wide array of shooting conditions.

Four aspherical elements and two extra-low dispersion elements have been integrated into the lens design to minimize chromatic aberration and distortion in order to produce sharper imagery.

An extra-low refractive index Nano Surface Coating has been applied to lens elements to reduce lens flare and ghosting in order to produce high contrast, colour-neutral imagery.

The electric-powered zoom control enables smooth and precise handling over zoom placement, making it well-suited to video applications. This electronic control also helps to maintain a compact overall form factor and realizes a retractable design that measures just over 1" when fully retracted.

POWER O.I.S. works to minimize the appearance of camera shake, especially in regard to large, slow movements, to better facilitate shooting in difficult lighting conditions.

An internal focusing design and stepping AF motor provide fast, accurate, and smooth focusing performance that is compatible with the contrast-detection Light Speed AF system found on most LUMIX G-series Micro Four Thirds cameras.

A manual focus lever avails precise control over focus placement and is also well-suited to use when recording movies.
