5-Axis Image Stabilisation

The OM SYSTEM 5-axis image stabilisation provides up to 6.5 shutter speed stops of compensation for the center and 5.5 stops for the corner. When paired with compatible lenses, the camera supports Sync IS delivering even more powerful image stabilisation at up to 7.5 shutter speed stops at the center and 6.5 stops at the corner, ensuring blur-free images in a variety of scenarios.

Video Features

Optimised for video creators, the OM-3 allows for 4K video recording at up to 60p, seamless mode switching, heat management for extended recording, and new OM-Cinema video profiles. The dedicated video dial makes switching between still, video, and S&Q mode a breeze, easily recording slow or quick motion videos at frame rates ranging from 1 to 120 fps.

Myriad specialised elements are incorporated into the optical design, which helps to suppress spherical aberrations, colour fringing, and distortion in order to produce sharp, colour-accurate imagery. A ZERO coating is also featured, which controls flare and ghosting for improved contrast when working in bright and backlit conditions. Complementing the optics is a Movie & Still Compatible autofocus system, which achieves fast, smooth, and silent focusing performance, and a maximum 0.25x magnification throughout the zoom range to suit working with close-up subjects. Additionally, the lens is weather-sealed to enable its use in trying weather conditions.
