Kondor Blue Mini Lock Quick Release System (Raven Black)

Kondor Blue Mini Lock Quick Release System (Raven Black)

Quickly mount and unmount a magic arm, monitor, microphone, or other accessory on your camera rig using the Mini Lock Quick Release System from Kondor Blue. This redesigned mini quick release system features a female base receiver and a raven black quick release plate that lock together using a quick release lever. It is even smaller and more functional than previous mini quick release plates, but it retains compatibility with all previous mini quick release plate models.

The quick release male plate features an integrated NATO rail and 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads, each with ARRI-style anti-twist divots around them, for solidly mounting an accessory. There are also removable anti-twist pins to accommodate different configurations, and they are storable in the plate. The receiver also features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for mounting onto your cage or rig. One 1/4"-20 screw and 3/8"-16 screw are included. The integrated nylon-tipped M4 set screw that comprises the quick release lever is adjustable so you can fine-tune any play or quick release tension.

Design

The Mini Lock design is smaller, lighter, and more feature-rich than previous mini quick release plates, it's compatible with the original Mini Quick Release male plates, anti-twist cradles, and ecosystem accessories.

Mini Lock Quick Release Plate

Female ARRI style mount

Male 1/4"-20 ARRI style mount (3mm pins are removable and storable within the plate)

Integrated NATO rail

1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 receiving threads

1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 mounting bolts

Any of the above options combine with a centralized M4 set screw

Mini Lock Receiver

The female Mini Lock receiver's 3/8"-16 threads are now deeper than previous models for more security. Removable 3mm anti-twist ARRI style pins can also be added in either orientation. The outer profile continues to be compatible with KONDOR BLUE's range of anti-twist cradles as well. All the mounting hardware included with the kit is made from durable stainless steel.

Secure Locking

Because of the tiny footprint of the Mini Lock, achieving tight tolerances is critical for secure locking. The safety latch, which still features its unique ability to stay fixed when open, now features an integrated M4 nylon tip set screw.

Using the included 2mm hex wrench, a user can fine-tune the plate-to-plate fit by simply adjusting the set screw. The nylon tip smoothly glides along the surface of the male quick release plate removing any potential play, all without marring the surface.
