Break into the world of cinematic 360° video with the compact Insta360 X4 360° 8K Camera, capable of capturing 8K30 360° video in dual or single-lens modes all in one portable action camera. The X4 offers an action-ready design with AI-powered software for an intuitive approach to creating dynamic content in any environment, as well as removable lens guards, up to 5K120 "Bullet Time" capture, and 11K time-lapse. The X4 also has an updated rugged design, is natively waterproof up to 33', and has an upgraded rechargeable 2290mAh battery for increased runtime.

8K30 360° Video

The X4 features ultra-sharp 8K resolution, which is 78% more pixels than 5.7K for more detail and greater clarity, making reframed video on par with standard camera footage for easier matching edits. Since the footage is captured with high-quality H.265 compression, the 8K files are small enough to edit using the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio.

60 fps Capture and Slowing It Down in Me Mode

The X4 supports up to 5.7K60 video for smooth shots at ultra-high resolution. The camera also supports up to 4K100 capture for super slow-motion footage. It also features Me Mode, which records 170° field-of-view flat video, which is perfect for POV video with an invisible selfie stick. Me Mode supports up to 4K30 and 2.7K120 slow-motion modes with external stitching. When in 2.7K30 mode, the X4 supports in-camera stitching with ready-to-share MP4 files.

72MP PureShot Photos

The X4 uses AI PureShot to process 72MP photos in-camera, delivering high-quality, ready-to-share images that have low noise and high-quality colour.

MegaView FOV

MegaView is a new field of view (FOV) option in the app/Studio software that processes 360° video with less distortion at the edges for overall higher image quality. MegaView supports multiple aspect ratios, including 1:1, 9:16, 16:9, 4:3, 3:4, and 2:35:1.

2 Cameras in 1 with 4K60 Single-Lens Mode

The X4 camera doubles as a wide-angle action camera by filming with only one lens. This feature has been upgraded in the X4 from previous models to support 4K60, and it supports a field of view up to 170°.

Invisible Selfie Stick for Third-Person Views

When the X4 is attached to a selfie stick, the stick disappears in your edit, enabling you to capture aerial angles and third-person perspectives that are possible to achieve without a second operator.

Mobile Insta360 App

The Insta360 mobile app allows you to edit 360° footage with ease.

Quick Edit: Choose from several reframing methods, such as physically moving your phone, swiping the screen, using the new virtual joystick, or long-pressing to activate the upgraded Deep Track 3.0 for even smoother footage.

AI Edit: Simple editing for beginning users makes framing and editing easy.

Pro Mode: For a hands-on approach, you can manually add keyframes and perform advanced edits using the Pro tab.

Shot Lab: A collection of stock effects makes editing easy.

Motion ND: Apply cinema ND filters without the need for actual filters to achieve the Motion ND effect.

App Background Downloading: Download footage from the camera while the Insta360 app runs quietly in the background, leaving your phone free for other tasks.

AI Gesture Control

You can now use hand gestures to start/stop recording or take a photo, which is perfect for group shots, noisy locations, mounting on a selfie stick, when wearing thick gloves, or simply not disturbing others in the area with sound such as voice control.

5.7K120 Bullet Time

Get "Bullet Time" (reference from The Matrix) slow-motion video using the 5.7K120 Bullet Time mode on the X4. This mode allows you to achieve cinematic slow-motion looks using higher frame rates and resolutions.

11K Time-Lapse and 8K Time Shift

11K Time-Lapse: 360° time-lapse video is now available on the X4 in 11K, capturing a sweeping view over time from a stationary position.

8K TimeShift: Users can shoot a creative video in an easy-to-use mode with a selfie stick while walking around.

Desktop Insta360 Studio Software

Use the new and improved Insta360 Studio and take your 360° skills to the next level and stand out. It features keyframing, professional tools, H.265 encoding, 100 Mb/s bit rate, 4K output, and high frame rate for action footage that are all ideal for upload onto Internet sites such as YouTube.

A new Insta360 Reframe plugin for Adobe Premiere is also available, which saves you time during your editing workflow. It directly imports .insv files to Premiere without stitching, improves image quality, and simplifies the process by not requiring you to leave the Premiere app to process your footage.

New Removable Lens Guards

The X4 has been redesigned with removable lens guards, allowing you to transport the camera into the field without damaging the lenses. Optional, separately available Premium lens guards are made from clear, tempered glass that is scratch-resistant and crystal clear and can be used while shooting.

2.5" Touchscreen

The bright touchscreen is made from durable Gorilla Glass and has been updated to a larger 2.5" size, and it allows you to control the camera, select shooting modes, change settings, preview your images and footage, and more.

2290mAh Battery

The X4 features a 67% higher battery capacity than its predecessor with its removable 2290mAh battery. It has been tested to run at 5.7K30 360° video mode for up to 135 minutes of recording time. In 8K30 mode, it can run for up to 71 minutes.

FlowState Stabilisation

From rocky roads to rolling waves, the X4 provides smooth and steady image stabilisation, no matter what adventure you're on.

360° Horizon Lock

No matter how the X4 is mounted, held, or utilized, your video will come out steady and balanced with the horizon with 360° Horizon Lock.

Waterproof Design

Dive into the water with your X4 without a case, as the camera is waterproof down to 33'. It can also utilize a separately available Invisible Dive Case that allows shooting down to 164'.

Connectivity Options

A USB-C 3.0 port connects your X4 camera to a computer to charge or offload footage.

Wi-Fi transmission speed has been upgraded to perform 58% faster than the X4.

A microSD card can be utilized to record on the camera and can use a card with UHS-I V30 minimum class up to 1TB in storage size.
