Superior Performance and Precision

The powerful telephoto capabilities of the GF500mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR, combined with the high resolution of the GFX System, work in harmony to capture intricate details that are typically missed. This lens is adept at capturing dynamic scenes such as athletes in motion, wildlife, and detailed avian photography. By reducing the typical bulk and weight associated with super telephoto lenses and enhancing autofocus speed and accuracy, the GFX System now facilitates easier sports, wildlife, and bird photography.

Enhanced image stabilisation further improves performance, offering up to 6.0 stops of vibration compensation, which is crucial for handheld shooting in the super telephoto range where camera shake is prevalent. This integration of the GFX System with the GF500mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR lens expands the possibilities for achieving exceptional image quality, traditionally captured by 35mm full-frame cameras.

With a focal length of 500mm, this lens is the longest in the GF series and is ideal for sports, wildlife, and bird photography.

Using the FUJINON Teleconverter GF1.4X TC WR extends the focal length to an equivalent of 700mm. Additionally, the "35mm format mode" allows shooting at a focal length equivalent to 693mm.

Comprising 14 groups and 21 elements, including two Super ED and five ED lenses, the lens construction effectively minimises chromatic aberration and delivers high-resolution imagery beyond the capacity of the naked eye.

Redesigned for Portability: Despite its capabilities, the lens weighs approximately 1,375g due to the use of lightweight components, changing the perception of large-format telephoto lenses.

The lens features a weather-resistant and low-temperature resistant structure with 18 sealing points. The front element has a fluorine coating, providing water-repellent and anti-smudge properties, ensuring reliability in adverse weather conditions.

Image Stabilisation: By improving the sensing accuracy of camera shake and optimising mechanical design, the lens achieves a powerful 6.0-stop image stabilisation mechanism.

Fast and Accurate Autofocus: The inner focus system utilises a linear motor to drive a lighter focus lens group, enabling swift and silent autofocus with a minimal delay of approximately 0.31 seconds.

Features such as the Focus Preset and Focus Limiter enhance user experience by reducing the need for frequent focus adjustments and allowing autofocus range restrictions, respectively.

The GF500mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR lens combines advanced optical technology, rugged durability, and ergonomic design, setting a new standard for super telephoto photography in the GFX series.
