Design

Crafted solely from machined aluminium, the top-plate retains the essence of a classic camera with its angular design. This stunning look comes together with tactile handling to create a camera that is a joy to use.

Machined Aluminium Top-Plate

The top-plate is carved from a single piece of metal, not only enhancing the look and feel of Fujifilm X-E5, but also improving the dial operation. Additionally, an anodised finish gives the body a refined, high-quality aesthetic.

New Film Simulation Dial

The newly designed Film Simulation dial features a precision-cut indicator window that minimises the gap between dial and body for an exact finish. Additionally, you can individually set Film Simulation and image quality settings to the FS1-FS3 positions, allowing you to save your own Film Simulation recipes.

Mastering the Details

Refinement is central to every aspect of Fujifilm X-E5's design. The viewfinder and diopter adjustment control, for example, fit flush with the body, while the Bluetooth button on the base plate evokes the look of the rewind button on a classic film camera.

New Classic Display Mode

The new Classic Display mode (only available on the EVF) provides a clean viewfinder image with key information at the bottom of the frame. Combined with a body style that allows you to operate the dials and Command Lever with one hand, you can immerse yourself in image making with the camera to your eye.

Surround View Mode

Fujifilm X-E5's Front Control Lever accesses the Surround View function, which displays a translucent or outlined area outside the image. This provides an OVF-like experience, enabling you to see outside the EVF frame so you can easily monitor what is about to come into frame.

Evolved Mobility

Despite being similar in size to its predecessor, X-E5 is the first in the camera series that features a powerful five-axis IBIS mechanism offering up to 7.0 stops in the centre and 6.0 stops at the edges. This makes it an effortless, "daily carry," that remains adaptable to the most challenging scenarios.

X-Trans CMOS 5 HR Sensor and X-Processor 5

The X-E5's high-resolution, 40.2-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor has an enhanced image-processing algorithm that boosts resolution without compromising signal-to-noise ratio. Additionally, the new X-Processor 5 performs with twice the processing speed of the prior X-Process 4. Speed is not the only benefit of the newer processor, users gain AI processing technology, next generation HEIF image file format and reduced power consumption.

ISO 125 Standard Sensitivity

The Fujifilm X-E5 is equipped with the X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor, featuring an enhanced light-efficient pixel structure. This advancement enables a lower native ISO of 125, previously only available as an extended option in earlier models, providing greater flexibility for capturing images in bright conditions with improved clarity.

Signal-to-Noise Ratio and Low-Light Performance

With its high-resolution 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor, the Fujifilm X-E5 employs an advanced image-processing algorithm that enhances resolution while maintaining an excellent signal-to-noise ratio. Updated Autofocus Algorithm

The Fujifilm X-E5 features an advanced autofocus prediction algorithm, ensuring reliable focusing on continuously moving subjects. This improved autofocus system excels particularly in Zone AF and low-contrast environments, making it easier to capture sharp images in dynamic scenarios.

Subject Detection Autofocus

Utilising X-Processor 5's subject detection autofocus, the Fujifilm X-E5 accurately tracks a variety of subjects, including animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, aeroplanes, trains, insects, and drones. Built on deep-learning AI technology, this system ensures precise and consistent focus across diverse shooting conditions.

Film Simulation Modes

Drawing on 90 years of Fujifilm colour science, the Fujifilm X-E5 offers 20 Film Simulation modes, including REALA ACE. These modes provide a range of aesthetic options, allowing users to achieve their desired look directly in-camera, from classic film emulations to modern colour profiles.

Grain Effect

The Fujifilm X-E5 enables users to add natural-looking grain to their images, replicating the texture of traditional high-ISO film stocks. With adjustable strength and size settings, photographers can fine-tune the grain effect to achieve the perfect balance of texture for any image.

Colour Chrome Effect

For highly saturated subjects, the Colour Chrome Effect enhances depth, detail, and vibrancy in red, green, or yellow tones, available in three strength levels. Additionally, the Colour Chrome FX Blue option boosts blue tones, ensuring details are preserved in vivid scenes.

Smooth Skin Effect

Designed for portrait photography, the Smooth Skin Effect on the Fujifilm X-E5 softens skin texture to create a more flattering complexion, enhancing the quality of portrait images with a natural and polished appearance.

White Balance Control

The Fujifilm X-E5 offers flexible white balance options, including Auto, Custom, Colour Temperature, and preset settings. The WB Shift feature allows fine-tuning with red and blue colour coordinates, providing precise control over the image's tonal balance.

Clarity Adjustment

With the Clarity control, users can choose between sharp, defined edges with boosted contrast or a softer, more delicate aesthetic. Offering 11 levels of adjustment, this feature allows photographers to tailor the look of their images to match their personal style.
