With 3/8" and 1/4" threads, you have plenty of mounting options - as well as the possibility of using UNC screws to mount the dovetail to non-standard surfaces.

Made from CNC-cut and hard-anodised aluminium, this lightweight and versatile dovetail is part of our Create range for limitless compatibility options.

Seamless ARRI Compatibility

Designed to work effortlessly with all ARRI standard baseplates, bridgeplates, and clamps, this dovetail ensures your rigging components fit together perfectly. Whether you're transitioning between tripods, gimbals, or handheld setups, the Create ARRI Standard Dovetail guarantees reliability and consistency across your equipment.

Precision Balancing with Flexible Travel

With 160mm of travel between safety stops, this dovetail provides ample room for balancing your rig, regardless of the weight or configuration. Achieve perfect balance quickly and easily, reducing setup time and enhancing performance for both lightweight and heavy-duty camera systems.

Versatile Mounting Options

The dovetail features 3x 3/8*-16 and 2x 1/4'-20 threaded mounting points, offering compatibility with a variety of accessories and attachments. Additionally, the non- threaded inner channels support 1/4' -20 UNC screws, allowing you to secure the dovetail to other surfaces like wood or a cheese plate for even greater adaptability.

Secure and Reliable Safety Features

The front and rear safety stops are designed for quick and easy press-release operation, ensuring your camera stays securely in place during adjustments. This added layer of security minimises the risk of accidents while maintaining a smooth workflow.

Lightweight, Durable Construction

Crafted from CNC-machined aluminium with weight-reducing cut-outs, the Create ARRI Standard Dovetail delivers maximum strength without unnecessary bulk. Its hard anodised finish ensures lasting durability, resisting wear and tear in demanding environments.

Instructions

The Create ARRI Standard Dovetail ships as a standalone unit, with no assembly required.

Attaching the Dovetail to a Tripod Plate, Gimbal Plate, or Other Camera Support

Align the dovetail's mounting holes with the corresponding threaded holes on your tripod plate, gimbal plate, or other support.

Use the appropriate screws (3/8*-16 or 1/4'-20, as required by your support equipment) to secure the dovetail.

Tighten the screws firmly with a compatible tool (such as a hex key or screwdriver) to ensure the dovetail is securely attached.

Attaching a Camera with Baseplate to the Dovetail

Slide the ARRI standard baseplate attached to your camera onto the dovetail.

Once the baseplate is in position, tighten the locking mechanism on the baseplate to secure it to the dovetail.

To remove your camera, slide to the end of the dovetail before pressing the safety stop and releasing the camera.

Mounting the Dovetail onto Wood or Other Surfaces

Position the dovetail's non-threaded channels over the desired surface.

Use 1/4'-20 UNC screws (or compatible screws) to secure the dovetail through the channels. If necessary, use washers to compensate for the channel's thickness.

Tighten the screws securely, ensuring the dovetail is firmly mounted to the surface.

Check the stability of the installation before attaching any camera or equipment.
