The Vortex HD System

Superior Light. Colour. Accuracy. Resolution. Imagine taking all the technology of high-definition video broadcasting systems and incorporating that level of performance into an optical system for binoculars that is truly remarkable. That's what you'll find in the Razor class of optics.

ArmorTek is a unique, protective coating that hardens and strengthens lenses actually repelling the oil and corrosive salts of fingerprints. Lenses treated with ArmorTek become:

Harder and stronger

Scratch-resistant

Stain-proof

Easier to clean. Dust, dirt, and smudges are all easily wiped away without fear of scratching the optical glass beneath.

XD (Xtra-low Dispersion) glass objective lens elements of extra-low dispersion glass enhance image resolution carefully selected and precision-crafted to exacting standards for true-to-life images of startling clarity and colour accuracy.

XR coatings deliver incredible image detail with extremely high resolution and light transmission. Fully multi-coated, scratch-resistant coatings eliminate annoying, image-degrading reflections, and offer extraordinary brightness for a lifetime of trouble-free lens protection.

Excels in the roughest cover just like you

Not only is the Razor built to withstand avid use in tough terrain, the argon gas guarantees waterproof, shockproof, and fog proof performance. This advanced process protects your Razor binocular in the following ways:

Argon gas does not absorb or react chemically with water.

Argon gas eliminates internal fogging.

Argon gas maintains its protective properties over a wider temperature range

Argon gas does not diffuse as quickly as other elements, extending the service life of the optics longer

Comfort is in the details

Wrap your hands around the ergonomic open hinge design and you will instantly become attached to the slim, thoughtfully designed 8x42 Razor.

Not only machined to perfection, the Razor redefines balance and comfort in a binocular. Naturally weighted and contoured to fit your hands better than any other fatigue is a thing of the past.

Fine focus corrections are locked in place with a conveniently placed center diopter.

Satisfying full field viewing comfort comes with tapered eyecups that retract to your choice of several distinct positions.

Flared eyecups replace standard eyecups to block out bright stray light and keep image contrast at its best.

Ridged rubber armor with fingertip grips gives you a solid hold in any weather.

Rugged chassis with a lightweight carry.
