Designed specifically for vloggers and online creators, the Sony ZV-E10 combines the image quality advantages of a large APS-C sensor with the flexibility of Sony's mirrorless system. Compared to a smartphone, it delivers greater creative control, improved low-light performance, interchangeable lens compatibility, and enhanced depth of field effects. Compact and lightweight, the camera is well suited to solo creators looking to elevate the quality of their videos and photography.

Purpose-Built Vlogging Design

Continuing the concept introduced by Sony's ZV series, the ZV-E10 has been carefully designed around the needs of single-person productions. Its vari-angle 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD flips out to the side for easy self-recording and intuitive framing during handheld shooting. The redesigned top plate houses a directional three-capsule microphone optimised for front-facing audio capture, while the included windscreen helps reduce outdoor wind noise for cleaner recordings.

Advanced Audio and Streaming Features

For creators seeking more advanced sound recording options, the camera includes both 3.5mm microphone and headphone ports. The Multi Interface Shoe also supports compatible digital audio accessories, helping minimise noise while reducing cable clutter and eliminating the need for external power. A front tally lamp and on-screen red recording frame provide clear visual confirmation during recording. The ZV-E10 also supports direct live streaming via USB connection to a computer or compatible mobile device, making it ideal for social media broadcasts and video conferencing with improved picture and audio quality.

Intelligent Shooting Modes for Creators

Several dedicated shooting functions make the ZV-E10 especially effective for vlogging and product-focused content. Product Showcase mode smoothly shifts focus between a presenter and an object held in front of the lens, while Background Defocus instantly creates shallow depth of field for cinematic-looking footage. Face-Priority AE maintains accurate exposure on faces even when lighting conditions change, and Sony's refined colour science produces natural-looking skin tones across a wide range of subjects. The Soft Skin Effect further enhances portraits with adjustable skin smoothing for a polished appearance.

High-Quality Imaging and 4K Video

At the heart of the camera is a 24.2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor paired with Sony's BIONZ X image processor. This combination delivers detailed imagery with low noise, strong low-light capability, and a sensitivity range from ISO 100 to 32000, expandable to ISO 51200. The larger sensor size, significantly bigger than those found in most smartphones, enables improved depth control and better overall image quality. The camera also supports continuous shooting up to 11 fps with autofocus and auto exposure, along with 14-bit RAW output for greater tonal flexibility in editing.

Fast Hybrid Autofocus Performance

The ZV-E10 features a 425-point Fast Hybrid AF system that combines phase-detection and contrast-detection technologies for quick and precise focusing performance. Covering approximately 84% of the sensor area, the autofocus system can lock onto subjects in as little as 0.02 seconds. Real-time Eye AF ensures accurate focus on human or animal eyes for portraits and video work, while AI-based Real-time Tracking continuously follows moving subjects with impressive reliability. Combined with Active SteadyShot stabilisation, the camera delivers smooth handheld footage even while walking or moving during recording.

Sony E 10-20mm f/4 PZ G Lens

A lens built with the hybrid shooter in mind, the Sony E 10-20mm f/4 PZ G is a lightweight and versatile ultra-wide-angle APS-C zoom ideally suited for vlogging and content creation needs. Featuring Power Zoom, intuitive handling, and advanced optics, this portable go-to lens excels at daily shooting applications and the updated autofocus performance also brings it up to speed for stunning video production capabilities.

Built specifically for video creators and vloggers, the Sony E PZ 10-20mm f/4 G combines compact portability with professional video-oriented functionality. Its electronically controlled internal Power Zoom system enables smooth and precise zoom transitions while recording, with operation possible via the zoom lever, zoom ring, or compatible camera controls. The internal zoom and internal focus design maintain a constant lens length during operation, helping improve balance and stability when mounted on handheld gimbals or support rigs.

Smooth and Reliable Video Performance

The lens has been engineered to deliver refined performance during filming with quiet and responsive autofocus operation. Its Linear AF system supports smooth focusing transitions and works alongside Linear Response manual focus for a more natural and consistent focusing experience. Sony's Smooth Motion Optics technology helps minimise focus breathing, preserving composition when adjusting focus during recording. The lens also supports Breathing Compensation on select Alpha cameras for even greater visual consistency in video workflows.

Versatile Ultra-Wide G Series Optics

Offering a 15-30mm full-frame equivalent focal length range, this ultra-wide zoom lens provides a versatile perspective that suits handheld vlogging, travel shooting, landscapes, and everyday content creation. The constant f/4 maximum aperture maintains consistent exposure throughout the zoom range while balancing brightness with a lightweight design. As part of Sony's G Series line-up, the lens delivers high optical quality with impressive sharpness and pleasing rendering characteristics.

Advanced Optical Construction

The optical design incorporates three aspherical elements to reduce distortion and spherical aberrations while maintaining edge-to-edge sharpness. Two extra-low dispersion elements help improve clarity and colour accuracy by suppressing chromatic aberrations, while an ED aspherical element further enhances image quality across the zoom range. A rounded circular diaphragm contributes to smooth and natural-looking bokeh, helping subjects stand out against softly blurred backgrounds.

Fast and Precise Focusing System

A dual Linear Motor autofocus system delivers quick, accurate, and near-silent focusing performance suitable for both still photography and video recording. The internal focusing mechanism improves responsiveness while keeping the overall lens length unchanged during focusing adjustments. For close-up shooting, the lens offers impressive minimum focusing distances, allowing creators to capture detailed subjects with strong perspective effects and enhanced visual impact.

Compact Build and Intuitive Handling

Despite its advanced optical and video-focused capabilities, the lens remains impressively lightweight and compact, making it ideal for travel, everyday handheld shooting, and extended recording sessions. The dust- and moisture-resistant construction adds reliability when working outdoors or in changing weather conditions. An integrated Power Zoom lever and dedicated zoom ring provide intuitive focal length control, while compatible Sony Alpha cameras allow customisation of zoom ring rotation direction. Remote zoom operation is also supported through compatible accessories such as the GP-VPT2BT Wireless Shooting Grip or a connected smartphone.
