The GP-VPT3 is your perfect travel companion: a three-in-one shooting grip with a detachable wireless remote controller. It's a shooting grip that easily switches between self-facing and outward-facing shots, a mini tripod for setting up the camera, and a detachable remote commander (also available separately as RMT-VP2) for operating the camera from a distance.

Easy Remote Camera Operation with Detachable Commander

Thanks to the wireless camera connection and ergonomic design, you'll find the shooting grip comfortable to use, with key camera controls right under your thumb. You can also transform the grip into a mini tripod and detach the remote commander, allowing seamless camera operation even at a distance - perfect for fixed composition and group shots.

Handheld Shooting with Freedom of Tilt Angle and Direction

The grip shape ensures stable handling with the camera attached, so you can operate the camera in your hand while freely adjusting the tilt angle. A handy button unlocks the head, so you can flip your camera's direction from outward-facing to a selfie shot in a single fluid movement.

Freely Switch from Grip to Tripod

You can quickly switch between grip and tripod usages. Shoot handheld with the grip, or open it into a tripod for stable photos and videos, group shots, landscapes, or for the solo shooter.

Load Capacity of 1.5 kg

You can attach a camera with lens mounted weighing up to 1.5 kg total, for handheld shooting with a stable grip, or steady shots with the grip used as a tripod.

Use as a Tripod and Operate the Camera Remotely

The detachable wireless remote commander delivers even more flexibility for your shooting. With your camera mounted and the grip opened into tripod mode, simply detach the magnetically-affixed remote commander to capture photos and videos, and control key settings, with a range of approximately 10 m (33 ft).

One-handed Control

The supplied RMT-VP2 remote commander front panel provides shutter, MOVIE (record), AF-ON, C1 and zoom/focus buttons, letting you shoot video or still images one-handed. If you pre-assign a frequently used function to the camera's AF-ON or C1 button, pressing the corresponding button on the remote commander provides the same function, allowing you to customise the controls to suit your shooting requirements.

Lamp Indicating Remote Operation and Camera Status

An LED lamp lights or flashes to indicate remote operation and camera status for easy checking right at hand as you shoot.
