Rapid Capture

The Alpha 7R VI delivers up to 30 fps continuous shooting at full-resolution RAW, supported by significantly faster sensor readout. Its enhanced readout performance also enables up to 60 AF/AE calculations per second, improving autofocus tracking and subject acquisition. An upgraded 5-axis in-body image stabilisation system provides up to 8.5-stop stabilisation, using an updated algorithm and high-precision gyro sensor for detailed image correction.

Stills and Video Performance

Built for high-resolution stills while offering strong video capabilities, the Alpha 7R VI supports 4K 60p and 8K 30p recording without sensor crop, as well as 120p recording from a Super 35 area. Its Exmor RS sensor and image processing system provide up to 16 stops of dynamic range during mechanical shutter capture, with extended RAW processing options for enhanced noise reduction, detail, and dynamic range. A 600-shot CIPA-rated battery life, up to 135 minutes of continuous video recording, and up to 120 minutes of 8K 30p recording support extended shooting. A 4-axis tilt screen, self-illuminated buttons, and updated grip design further improve usability in a range of shooting conditions.

G Master Image Quality

This professional standard zoom lens combines a bright constant f/2.8 aperture with advanced optical construction to deliver high resolution, clarity, and smooth bokeh. Two ED and two Super ED elements help minimise chromatic aberrations and colour fringing, while five aspherical elements, including two XA elements, reduce distortion and spherical aberrations. Nano AR Coating II helps control flare and ghosting, while the 11-blade aperture diaphragm produces smooth, rounded bokeh.

Fast AF and Professional Control

Four XD Linear Motors provide fast, quiet, and precise autofocus, with a floating focusing mechanism maintaining image quality throughout the focusing range. The lens offers close focusing with a minimum focusing distance of 8.3" at 24mm and 11.8" at 70mm, along with up to 0.32x magnification. Designed for both stills and video, it features reduced focus breathing and shift, Linear Response MF, a de-clickable aperture ring, programmable focus hold buttons, and adjustable zoom smoothness. Its compact, lightweight construction also incorporates dust- and moisture-resistant sealing and a fluorine-coated front element for added durability.
