Samyang 135mm f/2.0 ED UMC Lens for Canon Mount

Samyang 135mm F2.0 ED UMC Lens for Canon Mount

The Samyang 135mm F2.0 ED UMC Lens is a manual focus, wide aperture, fixed telephoto lens with full frame sensor coverage. The lens excels in portraiture, long-distance scene setting and any mid-range telephoto application.

Wide F2.0 Aperture

The wide F2.0 aperture combined with the 135mm telephoto length enables an impressively shallow depth of field when utilised wide open resulting in a pleasing out of focus backgrounds and foregrounds. The curved 9 blade aperture mechanism ensures that bokeh remains circular even when the lens is stopped down.

The bright maximum aperture of the lens also allows users to continue shooting even in low light scenarios.

High Resolution and Image Quality

The lens’ floating type design maximises the resolution of the lens by reducing spherical aberrations and distortion. Consequently, the lens reveals excellent detail that couples perfectly with the highly resolving sensors in both Full Frame and APS-C camera bodies. An ED element minimises colour fringing in the lens and Samyang’s anti-reflective Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) optimises light penetration and ensures that unwanted flare and ghosting is well controlled.

Precise Manual Focus

The manual focus gearing is well dampened allowing precise and smooth focus adjustment. The excellent manual focus, wide aperture and resolving power of the Samyang 135 F2.0 ED UMC Manual Focus Lens make it an excellent addition to any stills or video user’s camera bag.

The Nikon AE mount version of the lens includes electronic contacts which provide additional exposure information that is recorded to each image file.
