Rycote 5cm Large Hole Softie Kit with Lyre Mount & Pistol Grip

The 5cm Large Hole Classic-Softie Kit from Rycote features a Softie Windshield, a Lyre shockmount, an XLR cable, and a Pistol-grip in a convenient package. It can be used to eliminate both noise and vibrations caused by windy conditions in applications for ENG (Electronic News Gathering), broadcast TV, location recordings, and more.

The grey Softie Windshield is a slip-on open-cell foam windshield with integral fur cover. It will reduce wind-noise up to 30 dB and will fit most popular shotgun microphones with a diameter of 0.75 to 0.98" (19 to 25mm).

In addition, the Softie Lyre Mount provides complete isolation against handling and cable-borne noises. It offers improved isolation from handling noise compared to typical microphone mounts and can accept mic diameters from 0.75 to 1.3" (19 to 34mm).

The included Pistol Grip Handle is equipped with a sturdy brass 3/8" threading for boom pole and stand mounting. A short 16" (40cm) 3-pin XLR mic tail cable is also included with this kit.

The 5cm Large Hole Classic-Softie Kit is compatible with several microphones such as the Sennheiser MKH50, the Sennheiser MKH40, the Sennheiser MKH30, the Sennheiser MKH20, and the Beyer MCE72.
