The 3.5mm Stereo Mini Phone to the Multi/Micro-USB Port on Sony Cameras is used to connect Pocketwizard tranceivers to a remote camera. The cable is a pre-trigger type that wakes the camera to be triggered with a half-press, allowing it to meter and focus before triggering it with a full-press from another transceiver.
