Novoflex MB FREE SET MagicBall Free Set with Housing

The Magicball Free Set with Housing from Novoflex is an ultra-compact, modular support system that consists of four separate components; a ball mount, a shell, a housing, and a support leg.

The idea behind the MagicBall Free Set with Housing is to provide the user with a miniature support, capable of resting on top of and adapting to any surface or larger rig. The simpler configuration of the two utilizes the support leg along with the non-locking "shell" - a basic seat for the ball mount with an integrated 90° notch - to form a compact, basic support. With the ball sitting within the shell, the user can position their camera in any way they see fit to frame their perfect shot. The non-locking design of the shell also allows users to re-position quickly without the need to fiddle with adjustment knobs or dials.

Is the user chooses to migrate the ball over to the MagicBall Housing instead of the shell they'll receive an experience more akin to a traditional tripod head. Unlike the shell, the housing features a locking mechanism and friction control - like a traditional ball head - along with 240° of adjustment range from one vertical position to the other.

Although the set may not replace a full monopod or tripod, it can serve as a great portable alternative for photographers requiring greater flexibility when shooting action, wildlife, macro, or product photos. For those wishing to adapt the Ball Free Set or MagicBall Housing to a larger support system, both units are capable of mounting atop a tripod or monopod in place of the standard support leg. This allows users to preserve all the features of the Set without the restrictions of height or added stability.
