NiSi WIZARD W-82D Camera Positioning Bracket for DSLR

The NiSi Wizard is the perfect solution for photographers and content creators who frequently shoot in both horizontal and vertical formats. The Wizard is a rotating collar that attaches to your camera body, allowing you to easily switch between portrait and landscape orientation without having to remove it from your tripod head. This feature is particularly useful for landscape photographers, real estate photographers, and studio portrait photographers who need to quickly change their camera’s orientation.

Unlike traditional L-brackets, the NiSi Wizard is designed to work seamlessly with cameras that have fully articulating screens, allowing you to position your screen without any compromise. When positioned at 180 degrees, the Wizard can also be used for low-angle or macro shooting.

The NiSi Wizard features tactile indicators at 0°, 90°, and 180° to ensure that your alignment is always maintained. Additionally, the camera is mounted with the sensor positioned in the centre of the Wizard, ensuring that the centre point of your image is always maintained.  It features a rubber ring on the inside of the Wizard to ensure lenses are always protected.

The Wizard is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminium alloy, making it both rugged and lightweight. The mounting foot is Arca-Swiss compatible, providing wide-range compatibility with most tripod heads and clamps on the market. It also features a 1/4″ mount so any quick release plate can be attached, making it compatible with almost every tripod.

The outer diameter of the lens mount must be smaller than the inner diameter of the WIZARD. The inner diameter of the NiSi Wizard W-82D is 82mm – lenses with a larger outer mount diameter than 82mm cannot be mounted.  To check lens compatibility, measure around the lens near the lens mount to ensure it’s less than 82mm.

Some lenses have a switch or button on the side, if the switch button is close to the camera (within 2cm), it may be covered by the camera bracket. If the focus ring/zoom ring on some lenses is very close to the camera adapter (within 2cm) and may be covered.  Using battery grips or cameras with built-in battery grips are NOT compatible. Medium format cameras like the Fujifilm GFX are NOT compatible. The space between the fingers and the camera grip can be reduced, it is recommended for most models to be used on a tripod.

It’s advisable to use the original tripod collar that comes with a lens when working with a long lens that exceeds 200mm or weighs more than 1kg, as it will provide a more stable shooting experience.
