NiSi Aureus Prime 24mm T1.4 Full Frame Cinema Lens (PL Mount) – Wide-Angle Excellence for Cinematic Depth

Designed for Visual Storytelling with Scope

The NiSi Aureus Prime 24mm T1.4 Full Frame Cinema Lens is a wide-angle prime lens engineered to deliver the clarity, depth, and character required by today's cinematographers. With a fast T1.4 maximum aperture and 46mm image circle, the 24mm is ideal for full-frame cinema cameras, providing immersive compositions with stunning resolution, natural perspective, and exceptional control over depth of field.

Whether used for handheld work, gimbal shots, or wide master scenes, the 24mm focal length captures expansive environments with visual balance-making it perfect for both narrative and commercial filmmaking.

Wide, Bright, and Cinematic

The T1.4 aperture offers powerful low-light capabilities and creative control, enabling striking separation between subject and background even in wide-angle scenes. Its 11-blade iris ensures smooth and aesthetically pleasing bokeh, allowing filmmakers to create emotionally resonant images with a cinematic feel.

The 24mm's rendering is rich and natural, giving visuals a sense of dimensionality while retaining clarity and minimal distortion-even at the edges of the frame.

Edge-to-Edge Sharpness and Advanced Optics

The lens is built with an advanced optical formula featuring ultra-low dispersion elements that minimise chromatic aberration, colourfringing, and distortion. The result is edge-to-edge sharpness with true-to-life colourreproduction and exceptional contrast.

NiSi's multi-layer coatings reduce ghosting and flare, maintaining contrast in high-contrast lighting conditions and enhancing micro-contrast to preserve fine details in shadows and highlights.

Focus Breathing Eliminated for Seamless Transitions

The 24mm lens maintains virtually zero focus breathing, preserving the frame's composition even during complex focus pulls. Combined with a generous 300° focus rotation, the lens allows for smooth and accurate manual focus transitions with precise control for operators and ACs.

Professional Build with Creative Flexibility

Weighing just 1300g and featuring a durable all-metal housing, the 24mm Aureus Prime is compact yet robust, making it ideal for handheld shooting, drones, and stabilised rigs. Like the rest of the Aureus line, it features a 90mm front diameter and 86mm filter thread for compatibility with industry-standard matte boxes and accessories.

It also includes a rear filter mount for ND, diffusion, or specialty effects filters-keeping the setup streamlined without sacrificing creative control.

User-Friendly Design for Demanding Sets

Glow-in-the-dark focus and aperture markings improve usability in low-light environments, and the interchangeable focus scales (feet or meters) offer flexibility across international productions. Gear positions are standardised across the Aureus series for fast, intuitive lens swaps on set.

A Perfect Match in the Aureus Family

The 24mm is optically matched to the rest of the Aureus Prime series, sharing neutral colourrendering, micro-contrast behavior, and overall optical character. It integrates seamlessly with the Athena Prime series as well, enabling consistent cinematic output across projects.

A Wide-Angle Workhorse for Professionals

The NiSi Aureus Prime 24mm T1.4 is a wide-angle powerhouse, crafted for filmmakers who demand sharpness, control, and cinematic storytelling potential. Its blend of performance and usability makes it an essential choice for any professional cinematographer's toolkit.
