Nikon Lens Hood HB-113 (for 70-180mm) JMB03701

The Nikon Lens Hood HB-113 is primarily designed to prevent stray light from entering the lens, which can cause lens flare and reduce image contrast. By blocking unwanted light, it enhances the overall quality of your photographs, providing better colour saturation and improved clarity, especially in tricky lighting conditions.

The petal shape of the HB-113 lens hood is specifically designed to provide maximum coverage while avoiding vignetting. This means that when you're shooting at wide apertures or using the longer focal lengths of the NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8 Lens, you can expect a full-frame view without dark corners in your images, ensuring that your compositions remain intact.

While the HB-113 is specifically designed for the NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8 Lens, using it with other lenses is not recommended unless they share the same filter thread size and design specifications. It's important to use the correct lens hood for your specific lens to ensure optimal performance and protection.

The reversible design of the HB-113 allows for convenient storage on your lens when not in use, making it easy to carry in your camera bag without taking up additional space. This feature promotes quick access during shoots, allowing you to attach or remove the hood effortlessly depending on the lighting situation.

The Nikon Lens Hood HB-113 is made from durable, lightweight plastic that can withstand the rigours of everyday use. The interior is lined with a non-reflective black material that further aids in reducing flare, ensuring that the hood not only protects the lens but also helps maintain the quality of your images.

Yes, the HB-113 lens hood can be used alongside filters as long as they are compatible with the lens's filter thread size. However, it is important to consider that some filters may cause slight vignetting when used with the hood, especially if they are thicker or of a specific design. Always test your setup to ensure optimal results.

To maintain the Nikon Lens Hood HB-113, regularly check for any dirt or debris on both the exterior and interior surfaces. Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently clean the hood. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish. Proper care will ensure the hood remains in excellent condition and continues to perform effectively.
