Overview

The Metabones Contax Yashica CY to X-mount Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x CINE (MB_SPCY-X-BM3) from Metabones allows a Contax/Yashica-mount lens to be used a FUJIFILM X-mount camera. The adapter's optics maximise the connected lens's apparent angle of view by a factor of 0.71x while providing a one-stop increase for the camera over the lens's aperture range. The Metabones Contax Yashica CY to X-mount Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x CINE (MB_SPCY-X-BM3) condenses the light from a lens designed for 35mm film cameras and projects it onto the FUJIFILM X-size sensor. This allows the camera's sensor to utilise more of the light gathered by a connected lens, which effectively reduces the crop factor while making available to the sensor an additional one f/stop of light for each of the lens's f/stop settings.
