Leofoto LO-224C MR.O Series 4 Section Levelling Centre Column Carbon Fibre Tripod with BV-1R Video Head and BVL-01 Conversion Plate

The Leofoto LO-224C Mr.O Series Tripod Kit with BV-1R Video Head and BVL-01 Folded Conversion L Plate combines industry-leading stability, advanced engineering, and unmatched versatility. Designed for filmmakers, wildlife spotters, videographers, and outdoor creators who demand full control in the field, this complete kit offers effortless levelling, precision panning, and rapid vertical-to-horizontal conversion for any shooting scenario.

Built-In Hollow Ball Levelling System

At the heart of the LO-224C is Leofoto's patented built-in hollow ball levelling spider. Unlike conventional centre column tripods, the integrated hollow ball allows the entire platform to tilt and level freely - functioning like a ball head at the base. This eliminates the time-consuming process of adjusting leg lengths for levelling, making it perfect for video setups, binocular glassing, and long lens spotting work in uneven terrain.

Premium 10-Layer Carbon Fibre Construction

The LO-224C features 100% Toray 10-layer carbon fibre tubes with a cross-rhombus weave, delivering exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, high torsional rigidity, and excellent vibration absorption. Reinforced by precision-machined 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminium components, the tripod is built to withstand years of professional use in harsh outdoor environments while remaining lightweight and portable.

Smooth Video Performance - BV-1R Fluid Video Head

The included Leofoto BV-1R fluid video head delivers silky-smooth panning and tilting for professional video capture or steady long-range spotting. Its fluid damping system ensures steady, backlash-free movement, while the Arca-Swiss compatible quick release plate allows rapid mounting of cameras or optics.

Ultra-Fast Setup with Quarter-Turn Twist Locks

Deploy or pack down in seconds thanks to Leofoto's quarter-turn twist locks. The 4-section legs can be extended and locked quickly, with internal one-piece shims providing added durability, stability, and simplified maintenance over traditional multi-part designs.

Semi-Automatic Leg Angle Stops

Leofoto's innovative semi-auto angle stop system enables quick, secure adjustments to 23°, 55°, and 85° leg angles. Simply pull the selector, reposition the leg, and it automatically locks into place-ideal for adapting to rugged terrain or achieving ultra-low-angle shots.

Ground-Level & Reversible Center Column

For macro work, low-angle shooting, or extreme perspectives, the LO-224C includes a short centre column option and a reversible column feature. Swap out the main column in seconds to get your camera close to ground level or inverted for creative compositions.

Terrain-Ready Interchangeable Feet

Standard rubber feet provide secure grip on smooth surfaces, while optional spiked feet (sold separately) can be installed for maximum traction on loose, muddy, or uneven terrain.

Central Control Quick-Locking System

The bold "Q-shape" locking lever allows rapid engagement of the hollow ball levelling mechanism. With just a half turn, you can fine-tune your tripod's angle and lock it solidly into place for reliable stability.

Adventure-Ready

Engineered to perform reliably from -20°C to 40°C, the LO-224C delivers long-term reliability in extreme field conditions. Ideal for expedition travel, wildlife hides, mountain filming, or demanding location shoots.

The addition of the Leofoto BVL-01 Folded Conversion L Plate transforms this system into a true multi-angle powerhouse:
