Leofoto GW-01 Pan and Tilt 3 Way Geared Head

The Leofoto GW-01 is a robust and precise 3-way geared head designed for photographers and videographers who require meticulous control over their camera movements. Whether you're capturing detailed still-life images in a studio or shooting expansive landscapes outdoors, the GW-01 offers fine-tuned adjustments that make it a versatile and reliable tool.

Unmatched Precision and Control

The Leofoto GW-01 allows for three-axis independent control over horizontal panning, vertical tilting, and rotational movements, all achieved with geared adjustment mechanisms. This makes it ideal for photographers who need precise framing for architectural, landscape, or product photography. The 360° rotation and 90° tilt forward or 30° backward functionality, combined with 90° sideward tilt for portrait orientation, allows you to position your camera in virtually any angle.

Each axis is controlled with its own large, easy-to-grip knob, offering smooth, precise movements. The geared system ensures you can make ultra-fine adjustments for perfect alignment, and each knob locks firmly into place once released, guaranteeing your camera stays in the exact position you need for that perfect shot.

Heavy-Duty Construction

Weighing in at 1kg, the GW-01 is built to handle heavy professional camera equipment, supporting a maximum load of 8kg. Its solid construction makes it compatible with larger DSLRs, medium-format cameras, and cameras equipped with long telephoto lenses. Despite its durability, the GW-01 is compact, with a 58mm base diameter, ensuring that it fits neatly onto most tripods while offering strong, stable support.

Arca-Swiss Compatibility

The GW-01 features a quick-release plate that is Arca-Swiss compatible, ensuring fast and secure attachment and detachment of your camera from the head. This is especially useful when you need to quickly switch between handheld shooting and tripod use. The quick-release plate also includes a safety lock to prevent accidental disconnection during adjustments.

3 Bubble Levels for Accurate Positioning

To further enhance precision, the GW-01 is equipped with three bubble levels, one for each axis. These ensure that your camera is perfectly level, whether you're setting up in landscape or portrait orientation. This is an essential feature for maintaining consistency in architectural, panoramic, or still-life photography.

Ergonomics and Usability

The snap-lock knobs on the GW-01 are designed with 4-star grips that are easy to turn even in challenging shooting conditions, such as cold environments where gloves may be required. Each knob provides a solid tactile response, ensuring confident adjustments with each turn. Once your desired position is set, the geared system locks the movement securely, allowing you to focus on composing your shot without worrying about slippage or misalignment.

Versatile Application

The GW-01 is perfect for both studio and outdoor use. Its fine-tuned adjustment capability makes it a preferred choice for macro photography, landscape photography, and architecture shoots where precision is key. The geared adjustment allows for repeatable and consistent results, ensuring that you get the exact shot you envision without trial and error.

The Leofoto GW-01 Pan and Tilt 3-Way Geared Head is designed for photographers who demand high precision and reliability in their gear. With independent axis control, a sturdy load capacity of up to 8kg, and an Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release system, the GW-01 delivers the perfect blend of functionality and ease of use. Its durable design ensures it stands up to rigorous professional use, while its smooth, geared movements guarantee the finest control over every shot.
