Premium 10-Layer Carbon Fibre Construction

Built from premium 10-layer carbon fibre tubing, the AZ-235C offers an excellent balance of strength, rigidity and portability. Carbon fibre provides effective vibration absorption, high stiffness and resistance to changing environmental conditions, helping photographers achieve sharper results during long exposures, low-light shooting and telephoto work. Leofoto's distinctive oval-shaped leg tubes further improve rigidity by reducing torsional flex and resistance to twisting under load. Innovative Y-Shaped Centre Column

The AZ-235C incorporates Leofoto's innovative Y-shaped centre column, which allows the tripod to fold significantly smaller than conventional designs. The specially shaped column nests neatly between the tripod legs when folded, helping to minimise the packed size while maintaining structural rigidity. The centre column can be reversed for low-angle photography and features a removable split-column design for greater versatility. An integrated 1/4"-20 accessory thread also allows photographers to attach articulating arms, LED lights, monitors, microphones, smartphone holders and other accessories.

Flexible Positioning and Rapid Setup

With the centre column removed, the AZ-235C can achieve a minimum working height of just 171mm, making it suitable for macro, product and creative low-angle photography. Each leg can be independently positioned at four locking angles of 23°, 42°, 62° and 82°, allowing stable placement on uneven surfaces such as rocky coastlines, mountain trails and staircases. The additional 42° position provides greater stability by lowering the centre of gravity without requiring the legs to be fully spread. Leofoto's high-strength flip-lock mechanism also enables rapid setup and pack-down, with secure locking and easy operation even when wearing gloves.

LH-30R Ball Head and Versatile Performance

The AZ-235C includes the precision-engineered LH-30R Ball Head, which is CNC machined from aircraft-grade aluminium for smooth movement and reliable holding power. Its low-profile design improves balance and stability, while the independent 360° panoramic base, laser-engraved scale, adjustable friction control and secure locking mechanism provide precise control. The Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release clamp works with Leofoto L-Brackets and most standard camera plates, allowing fast and secure mounting.
