Lensbaby Sweet 80 Optic

Characterized by its distinct sweet spot of focus, the Sweet 80 Optic is an 80mm f/2.8 lens for the Lensbaby Optic Swap System. Designed for use with a tilting Lens Body, this optic's merits lie in its curved field of focus that allows you to place the area of sharp focus anywhere within the image frame and have the rest of the image shrouded in a smooth, ethereal blur. The aperture range helps to control the size of sweet spot of focus and 12 diaphragm blades contribute to a smooth bokeh quality to suit the selective focus look. Additionally, the lens construction uses four elements in two groups, and each of the glass elements are multi-coated to resist flare and ghosting for contrast-rich, color-accurate images.

  • Part of the Lensbaby Optic Swap System, this optic requires an additional Lensbaby Lens Body for use.
  • Portrait-length 80mm f/2.8 lens provides a comfortable, slightly narrow field of view that is well-suited to isolating subjects.
  • Distinct curvature of field produces a sweet spot of focus to suit making selective focus imagery.
  • Besides adjusting exposure, the f/2.8 to f/22 aperture range allows you to control the size of the sweet spot of focus.
  • A 12-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth, pleasing bokeh quality.
  • Lens construction uses four glass elements in two groups, and each of the elements are multi-coated to resist flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color accuracy.

Lensbaby Edge 80 Optic

The Lensbaby Edge 80 Optic is an 80mm f/2.8-22 flat field optic with an adjustable 12-blade aperture. This optic is specifically designed to be used in conjunction with a Lensbaby lens body to give you a slice of sharp focus, surrounded by soft blur. The size of the in-focus region varies depending on the aperture and the location of it can be modified by the degree and direction of tilt. The selective focus effect produced is especially desirable for close-up photography, as this lens can focus as close as 17" / 43.2cm when fully extended.

This optic is composed of 5 multi-coated glass elements within 4 groups and the 12 rounded aperture blades produce an extremely smooth bokeh. It is compatible with the Lensbaby Composer Pro, Composer, Muse, Scout, and Control Freak lens bodies (Not compatible with the Composer with Tilt Transformer for Micro Four Thirds and Sony NEX cameras).

  • When used in conjunction with a Lensbaby lens body, this optic can provide a controllable sliver of focus surrounded by a smooth, out of focus border.
  • Size of selective focus region is controlled by the aperture; location of the region can be modified by tilting the lens.
  • Rounded 12-blade aperture creates a smooth bokeh and is controlled by a dial on the front of the optic.
  • Focus as close as 17" / 43.2cm when lens is fully extended, in macro mode, and tilted.
  • Compatible with the Lensbaby Composer Pro, Composer, Muse, Scout, and Control Freak lens bodies (Not compatible with the Composer with Tilt Transformer for Micro Four Thirds and Sony NEX cameras).
  • 46mm front filter threads allow compatibility with Lensbaby Macro Converters, but do not work with 37mm accessories.

Lensbaby 46mm Macro Filter Kit

A simple and convenient method for shortening your minimum focusing distance and minimum working distance, this Macro Filter Kit from Lensbaby fits lenses with 46mm filter threads, and enables you to photograph close-up subjects more effectively. This kit is comprised of +1, +2, and +4 dioptric strength lenses, and each of the lenses can be used to vary the degree of how much the minimum focusing distance of the lens is reduced. Additionally, front 46mm filter threads also allow the close-up lenses to be combined for even greater magnifications.

  • Kit includes +1, +2, and +4 dioptric strength lenses.
  • Convex lens design lessens the minimum focusing distance of any lens for close-up shooting.
  • Each lens has 46mm front threads for stacking other close-up lenses on top of one another to increase the overall effect.

Lensbaby Optic Swap System Case (Small)

Perfect for the Lensbaby enthusiast, this Optic Swap System Case is dedicated to carrying and protecting an array of lens bodies and optics, such as the Composer, Composer Pro, Composer Pro II, Spark, Fixed Body, Muse bodies, and all optics types, such as the Edge and Sweet variants.

The small version of the case is designed to hold up to one lens body with an installed optic, along with three additional optics. Alternatively, the case can also hold up to four optics with no lens bodies. The case itself is a hardshell case with a nylon wrap and has a custom insert for the lens bodies and optics, along with a firm eggcrate foam lining. The case has a zippered closure and a nylon strap handle with a rubber grip.
