Ilford Multigrade FB Classic is a premium, variable contrast black and white photographic paper featuring a heavyweight baryta-coated fibre base. Specifically designed for creative printers seeking neutral image tones, exceptional clarity, and a great response to toners, this paper delivers rich, deep blacks and outstanding tonal rendition. Easy to use, Multigrade FB Classic excels with toning, chemical reduction, and retouching techniques, especially on its glossy surface. Available in Cooltone and Warmtone variants, it is compatible with the Ilford optimum permanence wash sequence. As part of the Ilford Multigrade system, it provides seven full grades of contrast when used with Multigrade filters, and is suitable for use with most common safelights, such as the Ilford 902 safelight filter.
