This is a matte black ink paper, but it has a subtle pearl sheen to it, particularly noticeable after printing. If you're wanting some gloss effect but don't want to switch to gloss black ink, or you're looking for a paper that looks like a traditional alternate process paper like Albumen prints, then this is a lovely new option. Very subtle, it's hard to describe but definitely worth trying.
Ilford Galerie Fine Art Smooth Pearl offers a cellulose alternative capable of delivering stunning contrast and sharpness with a large Colour gamut.
Although the paper is of a matte appearance and is smooth to the touch, it possesses a visible slight surface texture and a very subtle pearl sheen.
A very affordable acid-free fine art paper perfect for black and white reproductions and for any type of fine art printing.
