The print quality of this Canon PFI-1000C Cyan Lucia ink cartridge represents a significant breakthrough for Canon in this price range of printers in the large and wide format reprographic market.

Advanced ink droplet technology incorporated ensures an improved balance and mixture of all the inks utilised.

This particular Lucia PRO cyan ink has been specially formulated to produce professional quality colour prints with increased cyan density with a much wider dynamic range compared to others.

The technology that underpins the application of the ink to the media is thermal inkjet. Ink is applied to the media page by using a heated element to expand the ink from a cartridge housing and into and through a number of fine print head nozzles. The resulting images are produced at superior quality resolution levels compared to other types of print technologies like laser and dot matrix type printing engines.

The ink system, although in many ways a conventional inkjet technology system, has been improved upon by Canon to reduce the bronzing effect typically seen in photo type finishes, making it an ideal choice for the professional artist or photographer.
