High Performance Video

Capture moments in motion with 4K 60p (6K oversampling) movies. The rich blurring of full frame combined with uncropped video, allows you to fully utilise the wide angle field of view. Create cinematic slow motion movies with Full HD 180p allowing playback 1/6th the speed.

Incredible Low Light Performance

Take advantage of the EOS R8's high sensitivity performance with normal ISO of 102400 for stills and 25600 for movies. Capture high quality images with minimal noise in dark setting or at night.

Capture Rare and Fleeting Moments

The EOS R8 allows you to shoot RAW bursts of up to 30 frames per second with 0.5 second pre shooting, helping you capture the decisive moment in sharp focus even before you've pressed the button. Capture scenes from 3 or 5 seconds before recording in video.

Freeze the Action

Shoot decisive moments with high speed at up to 40 frames per second. The electronic shutter generates no shutter noise, making it useful when shooting wildlife, concerts and other situations where you want to stay quiet and unnoticed.

Advanced Subject Tracking

The EOS R8 supports tracking for a wide range of subjects, including humans, animals (dog, cat, bird, horse) and vehicles (car, motorcycle, train, aeroplane). It automatically responds to dynamically changing scenes, and can track subjects over the entire frame. The high performance subject tracking gives you the freedom to focus on composition.
