The fast maximum aperture offers bright photos, working with the Image Stabiliser to produce clear details in handheld shots, even in low lighting. Compatible with full-frame EF-mount DSLRs and APS-C sensor cameras, the lens lets you shoot over a large depth of field range and versatile focal length range so you can capture beautiful portraits, landscapes, or even event and sports photography.

Constant f/2.8 Aperture

Thanks to a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture, the Canon EF 70-200mm L Series lens offers superior low-light performance and complete control over depth of field for beautiful portraits. Designed for full frame cameras, it also works with APS-C size sensors at a 112-300mm equivalent focal range.

Fast and Silent Ultra-Sonic Autofocus

The ring type Ultrasonic Motor (USM) delivers a high-speed auto focus with ultra-quiet operation. Consistent and accurate, the autofocus captures sharp detail for fast action and for tracking moving subjects. Full time manual focus (FT-M) override is easily accessible, so you can conveniently refine your focus in AF mode.

Internal Focus Mechanism

Make the most of the constant 1.2 metre minimum focussing length thanks to the internal zoom mechanism. Keeping the shape and length of the lens constant through the whole zoom length, it makes it easier to take photos in small spaces.

Optical Image Stabiliser

Take stunning handheld pictures thanks to the built-in Optical Image Stabiliser (IS). Reducing shake and the resulting blur, it provides up to 4 stops of shutter correction at any focal length, great for taking photos at slower shutter speeds or in low light.

Focus Limiter Switch

For added control, a focus limiter switch restricts the focus range at which your camera will attempt to focus. Reducing the focus hunting range improves focus speed and efficiency.

Fluorite and Ultra-Low Dispersion Elements

Constructed with 23 elements in 19 groups, the lens uses a Fluorite and 5 Ultra-Low Dispersion (UD) elements to increase contrast and reduce chromatic aberration throughout the entire zoom range for sharp detail. Canon’s Super Spectra coating also minimises glare and ghosting, allowing you to shoot under bright sunlight.

Weather Resistant Construction

Thanks to the celebrated L series’ robust construction, the lens uses rubber seals and gaskets to protect against moisture and dust, making it extremely dependable in demanding harsh outdoor conditions.

Tripod Collar and Lens Hood Included

The Canon 70-200 mm f2.8L USM IS II Lens comes with everything you’ll need to get started, including a removable rotating tripod collar, lens hood and soft carrying case for secure storage and transport. The non-rotating 77mm filter threads is also compatible with a large range of polarisers and graduated ND filters for creative effects.
