When it comes to quality and performance, you won't find a better than this superior replacement toner cartridge from Canon. Carefully developed in their state of the art image research laboratories, this CART-051 Black Toner Cartridge represents the pinnacle of manufacturing excellence.

At the factory, each and every Canon toner cartridge is examined during the manufacturing process and then thoroughly tested to meet specific benchmark criteria to guarantee the highest print quality, colour grade output, mechanical performance and longevity.

Exceptional print output quality with excellent colour balance and accurate matching make this CART-051 Black Toner Cartridge the ideal high print volume option for the busy office, school or home. In conjunction with the advanced coating on the photoconductor, the sub-micron toner and polymer formulation specially developed for this cartridge by Canon delivers exceptional solid and dense colour reproduction with a broad spectrum of gradations, hues and shades ideal for image type work. Advanced software engineering and laser programming also ensure that this cartridge delivers sharp, precise, excellent linework for producing professional documentation, graphs, reports, presentations and more.

The expected print page yield from this CART-051 Black Toner Cartridge is up to 1700 pages at 5% coverage. It will deliver up to 600 x 600 dpi print resolution. Advanced printer settings can be changed in a way to enhance the print quality or preserve toner which makes this cartridge extremely versatile for many applications. Special media can also be employed with the highest print settings to produce the best quality definition. Other settings can be switched on like TONER SAVE or DRAFT mode, and this essentially reduces the toner concentration levels which means less toner is used. This is a great option for extending the longevity of the cartridge and ideal in situations where print quality is less critical like internal memos and other similar intra-office correspondence.

Electrostatic and Laser technologies are used in these types of printers to create the printed page. The printer has a light-sensitive cylindrical photoreceptor drum unit that is used to form the primary image. Initially, this drum is applied with static electrical electrons from a set of charge coronas. The laser beam is then switched on and directed toward the surface of the drum to discharge the charges that represent the invisible areas of the image impression. What is left after this process is an unseen, but highly electrically charged template of the desired figure. The toner particles in the cartridge are then rotated onto an integrated developer roller and the friction from this interaction case these particles to also become electrically charged. These charged toner particles are the opposite from those on the drum and so as the drum turns is attracts the toner particles over to its surface in the charged areas to form the image. A sheet of paper or other media is then fed into the printer beneath this drum and immediately at that point, a reverse charge is applied below the paper and this effect then pulls the image print down to onto the top of its surface. The printed sheet is now transported to a heat fusing station where all the toner particles are literally melted and pressed into the fibres of the page to secure a permanent attachment. The printed page then exits to a receiving tray ready for manual handling.

The select polymers included in this CART-051 toner batch ensure that prints produced by this cartridge are scratch, smear and fade resistant. These additives also help lower the melting point of the toner to create faster warm-up speeds which by extension then reduces energy consumption. Other additives act as a lubricant to maintain the internal working components of the development system and thereby help to sustain long-term reliability.

The cartridge housing and components have been manufactured from durable, non-toxic materials and engineered to support a productive print speed of up to 30 (ppm) pages per minute.

The cartridge frame has been designed with the operator in mind so they can quickly and easily replace the cartridge to minimise production delays and get back to more pressing tasks.

Suitable for immediate use in select Canon MF laser printers and multi-function devices.

This Canon CART-051 toner cartridge comes individually seal wrapped in an easy to handle carton for easy access and to protect contents and maintain shelf-life.
