Enjoy maximum print quality and durability at the best price with this genuine Canon CART046BK Black toner cartridge to suit a range of Canon LBP and MF Colour Laser and Multifunction Printers and Devices. This genuine toner cartridge has been meticulously designed by Canon's reprographic imaging research and development team to deliver superior print quality high durability and maximum performance.

Each one of these original laser cartridges contains premium quality micro-granular high-density toner and special polymer additives to enhance print quality and media application. This formulation has been expertly researched and developed by Canon to provide sharp and precise bold text and lines for making professional documents, graphs and reports as well as a rich gamut of vibrant tones, gradations and hues for superb colour reproduction. Some of the additives act to lower toner particle melting point so that the printer can reach stand-by condition faster which reduces overall energy operating costs. Other polymers act as a lubricant for many of the moving parts in the cartridge, and this helps improve durability and longevity.

The image formation process system with this type of printer cartridge is known as electrostatic laser toner technology. A photoconductor drum assembly receives an electrostatic charge from a set of DC transformers and coronas. The laser beam is then initiated to discharge non-visible areas of the image job. This charged drum then attracts oppositely charged toner particles from the toner cartridge to make a visible image. Paper then enters the printer beneath this photoconductor drum and then another charge is applied to a corona to pull the image down onto the waiting sheet of paper. The printed sheet is then moved into a set of hot pressure rollers where the toner particles get heat impressed into the fibres of the paper for permanent adherence. It then exits the printer housing to an exit tray ready for physical handling.

Canon's emphasis on producing premium products is demonstrated by their continued commitment to undertake innovative research on developing better products and creative methodologies. Significant investments in earth-friendly manufacturing plants and into the development a highly specialised workforce to ensure each product is made with diligent care respecting core values of quality and our ecology remains a paramount priority. So whether this toner is used primarily to produce professional office documents, booklets, office reports and full-image photos, you can be confident that it will deliver the right results time and time again.

This printer cartridge has been designed with the flexible potentiality to alter printer settings to suit different printing applications. For maximum print quality to create high-quality colour photos and artwork, operators can use specially coated media and then access advanced printer settings to change the resolution in dots per inch (DPI). By adjusting these advanced printer settings, you'll be able to achieve print resolution up to 1200 DPI. These same settings can also be adjusted the other way to preserve toner and extend the life of the cartridge. This option is known as Draft or Toner Save mode. In this condition, the concentration of toner is wound back, so less toner is used. This is often ideal for printing internal documents where the highest print quality is unnecessary and excessive for such applications.

Each cartridge is delivered in its carton for easy storage. The toner unit inside the carton is fully sealed to maximise toner integrity and minimise degradation over time.

Manufactured for continuous running without failure in Canon i-SENSYS LBP654Cx and MF735Cx printer machines with print output speeds up to 27 sheets per minute.

Canon's manufacturing practices utilise high-grade eco-friendly materials to assemble and integrate the cartridge's internal components. This commitment to best practice using only premium materials ensures durable continuous service can be maintained to deliver consistent output quality over time.

The outer housing of the cartridge has been designed for easy and quick replacement to minimise productivity workflow interruptions.
