Bright Tangerine NATO Monitor Hinge for Canon

Create the perfect Canon C400 rig with this easily-adjusted NATO Monitor Hinge. The two-axis hinge provides a versatile monitor mounting solution for Canon shooters. Easily adjust the monitor on-the-fly, and capture the perfect shot from any angle with ease.

Customisable drag allows you to set the preferred level of resistance, and independent locks for pan and tilt provides ease of use and secure protection when locked.

With your monitor always level to the horizon, you can shoot confidently with this NATO monitor hinge.

NATO Compatibility

The NATO rail is one of the most convenient means of attaching and detaching camera accessories, allowing sliding travel to optimise component placement. This means that you have plenty of options for mounting the NATO rail, including the B4013.1007 - 15mm NATO Rail or B4013.0003 - NATO Cheese Stick.

Adjustable Resistance

With independent drag adjustment for tilt and pan, you can set the tension to your preference: increasing or decreasing the resistance to adjust the monitor's viewing angle. Simply use a 2mm hex key to set the drag to your ideal resistance, allowing for smooth, stable repositioning with a reliable hold once set.

Easily Stowed

For safe transport, the hinge allows you to rotate the monitor inward, tucking it within the rig. This protective feature helps shield the monitor from impact during transit, ensuring that your monitor is secure and ready for your next shoot.

Independent Locks for Pan and Tilt

The hinge includes independent locks for both pan and tilt, enabling faster adjustments while ensuring the monitor remains stable and precisely positioned. This also means that you can lock-off one axis whilst maintaining articulation on the other.

Locked Horizon

The hinge is designed to maintain a steady horizon, preventing unwanted shifts or axis drift that could impact your framing. With this stability, you can focus on capturing the perfect shot without frequent adjustments.

Designed for Canon LCD Monitors

With a dedicated mounting block for the Canon LCD monitor, the monitor hinge provides stability for customising your Canon camera. The block helps to ensure correct installation, with locating pin holes that align with the monitor for anti-twist.

Built to Last

The monitor hinge is made from our flagship anodised aluminium, for a high-quality finish whilst maintaining a light weight. This material is wear and corrosion-resistant, meaning that this low-profile monitor hinge will last a long time without issue.

Instructions/Assembly

The NATO monitor hinge ships assembled as a standalone unit, including the required screws.

You will require:

- 2mm Hex Key (for drag adjustment)

- 3mm Hex Key (for mounting bracket)

- 4mm Hex Key (for monitor mount)

Stock Monitor Mount Disassembly

Use the 4mm Hex key to detach the LCD from the stock monitor mount.

Monitor to Hinge

Attach the monitor block to the LCD monitor by using a 4mm Hex Key on the 1/4"-20 screw, aligning the locating pins into the locating holes

Rotate the hinge to gain access to the mounting points.

Attach the monitor block to the monitor hinge with the two M4 screws, using the 3mm Hex Key

Adjusting Monitor Hinge Resistance (Drag)

Use a 2mm Hex Key to adjust the drag friction on the monitor hinge for both tilt and pan. Adjusting these points will help you set your preferred tension for smooth, controlled movement.

Adjust Tilt Friction

- Locate the lower adjustment pointlabelled "DRAG."

- Insert the 2mm hex key.

- Turn counter-clockwise (Left)to decrease friction (for easier movement).

- Turn clockwise (Right)to increase friction (for a firmer hold).

Adjust Pan Friction

- Locate the upper adjustment point.

- Insert the 2mm hex key.

- Turn counter-clockwise (Left)to reduce friction (for smoother movement).

- Turn clockwise (Right)to add friction (for more resistance).
