Bright Tangerine Misfit Kick Mk II 2-Stage Kit

Bright Tangerine Misfit Kick Mk II 2-Stage Kit

Add a matte box with three filter trays to your rig with this Misfit Kick Three-Stage Matte Box Kit from Bright Tangerine. The kit includes the lightweight core Misfit Kick Mk II matte box, a carbon fiber top flag, and two filter trays.

The two included filter trays allow you to install additional 4 x 5.65 or 4 x 4 filters to your setup, and they feature a spring-loaded clasp to make it easy to insert and remove each tray. The included carbon fiber top flag features extendable, slide-out wings to protect the lens from glare. Optional frame-safe clamp adapters, a 15mm LWS swing-away arm, or other clip-on or swing-away mounts are available to mount the matte box onto your rig.

Bright Tangerine Misfit Kick Mk II Matte Box Core

Add a matte box to your rig with this Misfit Kick Mk II Matte Box Core from Bright Tangerine. It features the core frame, carbon fiber shade, and a two-stage adjustable filter stage assembly, expandable to three-stage by adding a third tray. Ultra-compact and lightweight, this matte box can go from accepting one, two, or three separately available 4 x 4 or 4 x 5.65" filter trays or the ONE Tray.

The matte box core is compatible with Bright Tangerine frame-safe clamp adapters, allowing you to attach the matte box to a wide range of lens sizes from 80 to 143mm. You can also add optional top and bottom flags, available separately. The Misfit Kick Mk II also supports optional rod-mount, clip-on, or swing-away bracket assemblies for more efficient lens swaps.

Frame Safe Clamp Adapters

The Misfit Kick Mk II can adapt to any lens using a range of optional Frame Safe clamp adapters, offering an extra wide field of view for large format sensors and wide lenses.

3-Stage Matte Box

The Misfit Kick Mk II features an all-new patented reveal stage design, making it more robust and easier to operate in the field, converting from a 2-stage to a 3-stage matte box without any extra hardware or tools, just a third filter tray.

Safe and Reliable

Rather than use ball bearings like traditional matte boxes, the Misfit Kick Mk II uses a new spring system in combination with a protruding ridge to secure the filter trays, creating a positive locking position with tactile feedback for increased confidence when loading filters.

For even more security, a filter guard can be mounted onto the bottom of the sunshade. When working in fast-paced environments like on a tracking vehicle, drone, or jib, a safety loop provides a secure tethering point for a safety wire or lanyard.

Versatile Accessories

For additional light protection, add the optional quick release top flag, side flags, or hard mattes for precise control over flares and image contrast. Knurled, captive locking screws are used to secure filters in place, preventing screws from going missing while in the field.

Construction

The sunshade is built from high-grade carbon fiber and the reveal system from CNC-cut hard anodized aluminium for extra strength while staying lightweight.
