BirdDog Flex 4K HDMI In to Full NDI Encoder

The Flex 4K HDMI In to Full NDI Encoder from BirdDog is an ultracompact NDI interface for HDMI video sources. Connect your onboard monitor, camera, or other video source, and have it be instantly available on your NDI-enabled network. The BirdDog Flex In supports up to UHD 4K30 and 1080p60 resolution video.

Versatile power options include PoE or the included 12V power supply. A 15W DC output port enables you to power select monitors and cameras from your Flex 4K In power source. Tally information is displayed for both the talent and the operator and passed through to compatible equipment. Connect a separately available cable to the 2.5mm RS232 port for pass-through control of non-NDI PTZ cameras. Additional features include an adaptive bit rate, a cooling thermal design, and a headphone output for embedded HDMI audio.

The Flex 4K In is slightly larger than a credit card and weighs just under five ounces

A single Ethernet port funnels NDI, PoE, video, audio, tally, and audio intercom while a DC barrel output powers select monitors and cameras

Flexible Power Input Options

Power the Flex 4K In using PoE or via the DC input

PTZ Sidekick

Connect a PTZ control cable to encode NDI and add PTZ pass-through control for your non-NDI PTZ camera

Stay-Cool Design

A thermal design and quiet fans keep this unit cool even on the hottest days

Tally Support

A built-in tally display is available for viewing by both your talent and camera operator

Adaptive Bit Rate

Select the bit rate that best fits your 4K or HD production

Software Tools

Includes free BirdDog Central Lite, Dashboard, and Comms Lite software
