Atomos Sumo PRO-19 - 19" 4K Monitor-Recorder-Switcher

Sumo PRO-19 is our next generation, 19-inch 4K HDR monitor-recorder-switcher, built for real-world on-set workflows. This is not just a monitor for the video village. It's the control centre, providing directors, clients, and talent with an on-set viewing station for rapid decision-making.

Built for Connected Workflows

With built in Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity for remote collabouration you can upload directly to camera to cloud platforms like ATOMOSphere, Frame.io, Dropbox, and more. Transmit or receive high quality NDI HX3 video over IP streams. With AirGlu wireless timecode you can sync multiple cameras and devices frame-accurately over Bluetooth or RF.

Camera Control & Touch to Focus

Sumo PRO-19 offers touchscreen control over key camera parametres including start/stop, ISO, shutter, aperture, and white balance for supported cameras, as well as touch to focus. The ability to control cameras remotely is especially valuable in situations where the camera itself is difficult to access during shooting, for example when mounted on cranes, jibs, or ceiling rigs. Now, the director doesn't just watch the shot. From the comfort of their chair, they can directly control the camera via the touchscreen. Adjust settings, refine the image, and shape the shot in real-time without needing to step onto the set. Faster decisions, tighter feedback, better results. Control is available for most Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Panasonic, and Sony mirrorless cameras.

Customisable Control Buttons

Get instant access to up to six frequently-used features - for example exposure, framing and monitoring tools, playback modes, LUTs, anamorphic desqueeze - all at the touch of a button. Turn Sumo PRO-19 into a professional control surface, optimised for speed, reliability, and personalized workflows in real production conditions.

CFexpress - Built for Speed

Capture 8K RAW and high-bitrate codecs with confidence, thanks to ultra-fast write speeds designed for sustained performance. CFexpress Type B media is compact, durable, and built to withstand the rigours of video production. With rapid offload speeds, your footage moves into post or the cloud without slowing down your pipeline. Alternatively, you can capture to external, cost-effective USB-C storage.

10-bit Industry-standard Codecs

Sumo PRO-19 records 10-bit, 4:2:2 Apple ProRes, ProRes RAW or Avid DNx from SDI or HDMI sources, for immediate post-event turnaround. It can also record in 10-bit H.265 up to 30Mbps, giving you complete flexibility to master at the highest quality for colour correction and finishing, or proxy recording for dailies in a faster turnaround production workflow.

Professional Monitoring Tools

Sumo PRO-19 offers a comprehensive suite of simple, one-touch monitoring tools for focus, framing, and exposure, including focus peaking, zoom (2:1, 1:1), zebras, EL Zone false colour, frame guides, SMPTE safe areas, grid markers, waveforms, an RGB parade, vectorscope, and flexible 3D/1D LUT support with profile and preset options (including .cube file uploads). It also offers anamorphic de-squeeze monitoring to correct the ratio for anamorphic lens setups, and 16:9 framing for social media.

EL Zone

Sumo PRO-19 supports EL Zone, a professional false colour exposure tool that helps you see exactly how bright or dark different parts of your image are. Unlike traditional false colour systems that use rough IRE ranges, EL Zone assigns specific colours to exact exposure values - based on stops of light, in the same way your camera sees exposure. It's a precise and consistent way to expose your image correctly every time.

LUTS

Sumo PRO-19 can receive LOG signals from the camera and provide real-time LUT (Look-Up Table) preview to approximate what the final graded image will look like in Rec.709 - all while recording in high-quality ProRes, DNxHR, or ProRes RAW. Custom LUTs (.cube files) can be loaded from CFexpress card or external USB-C media (or SSD drive in the case of Sumo 19SE) and used in conjunction with the built-in monitoring tools for precise exposure control.

Complete Solutions for On-set and Video Village

On-set Review

Confidently manage complex productions with a large, colour-accurate 19-inch display that's ideal for directors, technical directors, and camera operators.

Technical Monitoring

Bright, 19-inch display with comprehensive technical monitoring tools including false colour, focus peaking, waveform vectorscope & more.

Live Switching & Routing

Live switcher capable of playing and recording up to four ISO camera feeds, plus a fifth program channel, all while cueing and switching in real-time.

Colour Precision

The monitor can be calibrated with Calibrite Display Pro HL and Plus HL probes via the Atomos Calibrator app, using the Atomos calibration cable (ATOMCAB018, sold separately). This ensures consistently accurate HDR and Rec.709 monitoring, so what you see on screen is exactly what you deliver.

Pro Audio, Fully Integrated

Sumo PRO-19 supports 24-bit/48 kHz PCM audio, accepts two balanced XLR inputs with 48V phantom power for external mics or line sources, and has gain controls, metres, and per-channel delay adjustment. You also get balanced XLR outputs, embedded HDMI/SDI audio, built-in speakers, and a headphone jack for direct monitoring and sync with video.

Precision built. Production ready.

Durable, Lightweight Chassis

Crafted from high-quality aluminium, Sumo PRO-19 combines strength with a refined, professional look. The chassis is engineered to withstand the rigours of daily production while remaining lightweight and easy to handle. Its sleek finish gives the monitor a premium feel that reflects the performance and reliability inside.

Built-in Handle

The integrated carry handle makes moving the Sumo PRO-19 around set effortless and secure. Ergonomically designed for comfort and balance, it allows you to quickly reposition your monitor between shots or locations without additional accessories. A practical feature that keeps your workflow moving smoothly.

Removable Feet

Adapt your setup in seconds. Keep the feet attached for stable desktop or DIT cart monitoring, or remove them for rig integration. With multiple strategically placed mounting points, Sumo can easily be attached to stands, cages, arms, or integrated into custom setups.

Cut the cables. Stay connected.

Camera to Cloud

Camera to Cloud (C2C) is a revolutionary new workflow that lets you upload your video files directly from your Atomos monitor-recorder to the cloud, from wherever you're shooting. There's no time lost transporting and copying drives. Sumo PRO-19 has everything you need to do C2C built in, and supports direct upload to our own cloud platform - ATOMOSphere - as well as third-party platforms, including Frame.io and Dropbox.

NDI 6 HX3 Transmit And Receive

NDI can send and receive video over ordinary networks (including Wi-Fi) in high quality, but with very low bandwidth requirements. It's used increasingly in live production and events. Sumo PRO-19 can be an NDI source, visible to all other authorized devices on the network, or an NDI receiver, with all the monitoring functionality you expect from an Atomos device.

Using NDI, you can send a video stream from a Ninja TX to a Sumo PRO-19 over a local network without any video cables. This setup is ideal for flexible on-set monitoring, remote viewing, or multi-device production workflows.

Wireless Timecode For Multicam Shoots

Timecode is a unique digital "timestamp" assigned to each frame of video. It ensures that all your devices-cameras, audio recorders, and monitors - are in perfect sync. Sumo PRO-19 includes AirGlu timecode sync over RF or Bluetooth to act as a powerful timecode hub.
