Ideal for restaurants, hotels, venues, and studios, the Tascam MP-800U is a rackmounted SD-card and USB media player with an integrated FM tuner and a USB DAC functionality. With balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs, you can connect a variety of professional and consumer audio devices.

The MP-800U supports MP3, AAC, and WAV audio playback from USB flash drives and SD/SDHC/SDXC cards up to 512GB. The unit features USB-A, USB-C, and 3.5mm TRS headphone connections on the front panel. Also on the front panel are useful controls including 10 numerical keys for track selection and functions, Multi Jog knob, ±16% pitch adjustment, transport controls, and more. Useful functions include Auto Cue, Auto Ready, Incremental Play, and a panel-lock feature. Each output gets its own level adjustment. Several optional addons are available for enhanced functionality, including the IF-E100 expansion card, the AK-BT2 Bluetooth adapter, and the RC-20 controller for playback control of up to 20 tracks.

Versatile Playback

The MP-800U offers multiformat playback via its front-panel SD-card slot (SD, SDHC, and SDXC supported) and USB flash drive port. Compatible file types include WAV, MP3, and AAC. The MP-800U can support SDXC and USB drives up to 512GB in size.

Bluetooth and USB DAC Made Easy

With the optional AK-BT2 Bluetooth adapter, the MP-800U handily streams Bluetooth audio into any installation. Plus, its USB DAC lets you connect any USB equipped device-such as a laptop, smartphone, or tablet-via the front-panel USB-C port, enabling additional playback options like accessing music libraries on computers.

Tune In with FM

The MP-800U features a built-in FM tuner, providing easy access to radio broadcasts. Its dedicated tuner output, via unbalanced RCA connectors, allows seamless integration with any audio system. Easily recall up to twenty user-preset channels from either the front panel or the optional remote control.

Flexible Outputs

Equipped with balanced and unbalanced outputs, the MP-800U can integrate quickly and easily into a variety of audio systems. With two output level controls-one for XLR, RCA, and headphone outputs combined, and another for independent tuner attenuation-this media player delivers smooth and precise level adjustments.

Professional Playback Functions

Pro-level playback is at the core of the MP-800U. Power-on-Play automatically starts playback at startup, while fade-in / fade-out ensures smooth track transitions. Auto-Cue, Auto-Ready, and Incremental Play functions keep your playlists primed, Key Original alters speed without changing pitch, while pitch control adjusts both tempo and key.

RC-20 Controller

Pairing the MP-800U with the optional RC-20 controller allows direct playback start of up to 20 tracks. The rear-panel Control I/O ports also enable fader start/stop integration with an audio mixer.
