Outstanding Autofocus Speed

As a flagship GM lens, the FE 50-150mm f/2 GM benefits from Quad XD Linear Motors, driving two focus groups in a floating focus arrangement. This allows for a shorter minimum working distance and superior optical performance at close range. Because of the use of XD Linear Motors, the lens also boasts extraordinary autofocus characteristics, working with the Alpha 1 and Alpha 9 cameras at their maximum speeds, and tracking moving subjects tenaciously in both still and video modes.

Power & Flexibility

The FE 50-150mm f/2 GM is a natural fit for stills photographers who want beautiful background defocus across a wide range, but the lens is also a powerful option for videographers. A de- clickable aperture ring facilitates handheld video, while internal focus and zoom make the lens remarkably easy to manage on a gimbal system.

Durable and Reliable

In addition, the front lens element features a fluorine coating, which makes it easy to remove fingerprints, dust, oil, and other contaminants from the lens surface. The dust and moisture resistant design provides extra reliability for outdoor use in challenging conditions and expands the freedom of shooting.
