Sony Cinema Line FX30 with G 18-105mm f/4 E-Mount Lens

Leveraging the power of a newly developed APS-C sensor, the Sony FX30 provides everyday content creators and aspiring filmmakers with a powerful, yet accessible cinema camera with which to push their cinematic journey to new heights. It blends an imaging pipeline designed for cinematic capture with a comprehensive feature set and intuitive operation to create a complete system for all levels of filmmaking.

26MP APS-C/Super 35 Exmor R BSI CMOS Sensor

The FX30's advanced imaging system is on par with other options in Sony's Cinema Line-capturing detailed 10-bit UHD 4K imagery at up to 120 fps-giving it specs fitting a true cinema camera. The newly developed 26MP APS-C Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ XR processor are able to create high-quality 4K images with the Super 35 (16:9) area. This system is capable of capturing 14+ stops of dynamic range and benefits from Dual Base ISO architecture to improve low-light performance.

Media Options

For recording high-bitrate footage at high frame rates, the FX30 uses an advanced, versatile set of media slots. The camera features dual CFexpress Type A/SD card slots, allowing users to select between different media types for different situations. CFexpress Type A has ultra-fast speeds that can be used for the FX30's most advanced recording functions, while SD cards are often more common and still have great speed and high capacities.

Ergonomic Form for Solo Operation

Lightweight and compact, the FX30 (in a design that matches the FX3) offers users the ability to shoot without needing a cage. Users can also enjoy smooth handheld footage thanks to a 5-axis in-body image stabilisation system.

The body features multiple threaded mounting points that are ideal for accessories and a Multi Interface Shoe that supports advanced accessories. Additionally, an integrated fan ensures reliable performance during extended takes.

Sony G 18-105mm f/4 E-Mount Lens

Have all the essential focal lengths covered with this E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens from Sony. Designed for APS-C-format E-mount cameras, this lens offers an extremely versatile 27-157.5mm zoom range and has a constant f/4 aperture for consistency through all focal lengths. Making this lens a great choice for both stills and video is the implementation of a power zoom mechanism and Handycam technology that provides smooth, quiet zooming and focusing. Also, it uses two extra-low dispersion elements and three aspherical elements to combat aberrations for crisp, clean images.

On top of these features, the lens is equipped with Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation to help reduce the effects of camera shake, especially at longer focal lengths. The lens benefits from an internal focus design that ensures that the overall length of the lens does not change during focusing. Additionally, it offers a minimum focus distance of 1.5' and uses a seven-blade circular diaphragm for smooth bokeh.

A versatile mid-range zoom for APS-C-format E-mount cameras, this 18-105mm lens offers a wide-angle to short telephoto 27-157.5mm equivalent focal length, making it suitable for everything from expansive landscapes and detailed portraits to distant subjects. Its constant f/4 maximum aperture delivers consistent performance across the zoom range while providing greater control over focus and depth of field. Two extra-low dispersion glass elements help minimise chromatic aberrations and colour fringing for improved clarity and colour neutrality, while three aspherical elements, including one Advanced Aspherical (AA) element, help reduce astigmatism, field curvature, coma and other monochromatic aberrations. Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation minimises the effects of camera shake for sharper handheld images at slower shutter speeds and can work alongside compatible sensor-shift image stabilisation for enhanced blur control. The power zoom mechanism, using Sony Handycam technology, provides smooth zooming ideal for movie recording. An internal focus design enables fast autofocus, maintains the lens's overall length during focusing and offers a minimum focus distance of 1.5'. A rounded seven-blade diaphragm also helps produce pleasing bokeh when using selective focus techniques.
