Features

 Consistent accurate exposure and colour

The new high powered BIONZ XR processing engine works in conjunction with the 61 MP Exmor R CMOS sensor and an advanced AE algorithm to detect the skin area of faces and adjust exposure accordingly for both stills and movies. This achieves consistent exposure control even in challenging shooting conditions when the subject is backlit, in shadow or over illuminated in direct sunlight.

Achieve a cinematic look, with ease

The advanced BIONZ XR processing engine delivers up to 8 times faster processing power than its predecessor. It minimises processing latency while boosting movie and still image processing power

AI Processing chip

With its innovative AI Processing unit, the A7CR can accurately recognise human movement. The human pose estimation technology uses a skeleton-based model, enable it to recognise not just eyes but also body and head positions with high precision. It can even lock onto and track a subject facing away from the camera or with their face Partially obscured.

Video features

The A7CR shoots over sampled 4K video which deliver sharp crisp images. Shoot 4K/50p in with a slight crop (1.2x) Creative Look presets / S-Cinetone Picture Profile Monitor S-Log3 footage with MLUT 120p in Full HD.

Improved Operability

The A7CR features a new Still/Movie/S&Q selector switch, allowing fast, independent selection.

Advanced 5-axis and 7.0 step image stabilization

Handheld shooting for stills got even better, thanks to the A7CR’s high-precision image stabilization unit, advanced gyro sensors and optimised image stabilization algorithms that effectively correct camera shake, achieving 7.0-step stabilization. Compatible lenses with built-in image stabilization combined with improved synchronisation between the body and lens to provide even more stable framing.

Creators’ App

Connect your A7CR to your smart device and control the camera and transfer images or videos. Use the app to remotely start recording videos or as a monitor to check framing and focus. Videos captured vertically will be imported as vertical format and ready for sharing to social media.

Live-stream

Simply connect the camera to any Windows or Mac computer to begin conference calls or to stream on your favourite social media platform. The A7CR supports UAC and UVC protocols which transfers audio and video simultaneously, eliminating the need for a separate microphone.

GP-X2 Extension Grip

A detachable extension grip is included for a more comfortable hold when shooting with a telephoto lens.
