Rycote Super-Softie Windshield for Shotgun Mics (5cm, 24/25)

The Rycote Super-Softie Windshield (5cm, 24/25) features 3D-Tex material and open-cell foam. It is suitable for shotgun microphones with slots no further than 5cm from the front of the mic, and a diameter of 24 to 25mm. The 3D-Tex material provides increased wind attenuation compared to conventional slip-on designs. It also achieves improved attenuation in extreme low frequencies and infrasonic frequencies, protecting captured audio where wind noise is at its greatest. The Super-Softie can be quickly squeezed and shaken dry when rain-soaked, or rinsed when dust-coated, without affecting its performance. This robust design will sustain its performance for years of use in challenging environments, such as news-gathering events.
