A valuable time-saver for film crews, live event engineers, and house of worship production staff, the Rycote PCS-Utility is a quick-release adapter designed to enable fast attachment and release of 3/8" threaded equipment such as shotgun mic shockmounts, windshield systems, and lighting accessories. Its utility socket allows the PCS-Utility to be affixed to a 3/8" bolt or a pole via a Rycote Half Coupler (available separately).

A valuable time-saver for film crews, live event engineers, and house of worship production staff, the Rycote PCS-Utility is a quick-release adapter designed to enable fast attachment and release of 3/8" threaded equipment such as shotgun mic shockmounts, windshield systems, and lighting accessories. Its utility socket allows the PCS-Utility to be affixed to a 3/8" bolt or a pole via a Rycote Half Coupler (available separately).

It features quality construction with a lightweight and durablealuminiumexterior and internal components made from stainless steel and glass-filled nylon. With a secure twist-and-pull release mechanism and a knurled finish on the outside, the PCS-Utility is easy to grip and unlock, even if you're wearing gloves.

Quality Construction

The PCS-Utility is made from robust, high-quality materials while being versatile. Milled anodisedaluminiumon the exterior is lightweight and robust, ensuring durability even in the most challenging conditions. Stainless steel and glass-filled nylon on the internal components enable a grease-free and strong locking mechanism.

3/8" Aluminium Tip

Insert and click in the included anodisedaluminium3/8" male tip to connect any accessory with a 3/8" thread for an auto-locking attachment that is completely secure and noise-free in operation. The fitted Hytrel washer increases the tension and ensures a tight fit, reducing the chance of loosening.

Twist-and-Pull Release

To release, the PCS-Utility has a "twist and pull" unlocking mechanism for a safe and secure one-handed operation. The knurled finished of the PCS-Utility offers a firm grip, even with gloves and improves operation in low-light situations.

All-Weather Workhorse

The PCS-Utility is secure through all weather conditions and offers easy installation with its quick-release/-attach mechanism. An all-round workhorse designed to withstand any environment you throw at it, it is ideal for live events such as live stage productions, sports events, and concerts.
