DJI SDR Transmission 2 advances SDR technology with stronger interference resistance, better image quality, and greater range. Even on crowded sets, it maintains a high-bitrate, low-latency feed. A TX/RX switchable transceiver design and Ronin series compatibility bring pro-grade performance to a compact, lightweight form factor.

Flexible Multi-Group Wireless Control

A single transmitter can feed up to eight receivers, with remote control for each receiver, allowing directors and DPs to view a high-resolution feed while operators and focus pullers adjust settings and control the camera remotely. Up to five transmitters and 40 receivers can run simultaneously, maintaining a stable wireless camera feed and 4K image quality in complex on-set environments. Auto Channel 2.0 takes over channel management on set. With Auto Mode enabled, transceivers recognise one another and intelligently coordinate frequencies. More accurate spectrum scanning and conflict diagnostics allow each unit to hop frequencies seamlessly as conditions change, maintaining a stable connection despite interference, even with multiple systems running side by side.

DCI 4K Monitoring

Transmit DCI 4K/60fps, 10-bit HDR, and H.265 video at bitrates up to 50 Mbps for rich detail, smooth colour transitions, and clear highlights and shadows across multiple cameras.

Up to 4 km Range

Video transmission reaches up to 4 km, maintaining a reliable link across open stadiums, dense mountain forests, car-to-car shots, and FPV drone work. Latency as low as 35 ms keeps monitoring and remote commands, including focus pulls and gimbal moves, responsive.

Flexible by Design

Switch between transmitter and receiver on the fly, with lightweight units, expansion plates, and a transceiver cage offering versatile ports, mounting options, rugged protection, and compatibility with a wide range of camera setups.

Integrates seamlessly with DJI RS series stabilisers, allowing a single phone to handle both monitoring and control through the DJI Ronin app, including wireless gimbal operation and starting or stopping recording. It supports DJI Ronin 2 and Master Wheels, enabling operators to stay at the monitor and precisely control camera movements on complex car mounts or crane rigs. An Osmo Action or Pocket series device can also be connected over USB-C for sports, reality shows, and hard-to-reach angles, providing a lightweight way to add a remote monitoring feed from perspectives that larger rigs cannot cover.

Switch between camera feeds directly from the transceiver or the DJI Ronin app without rebooting, scanning, or re-pairing, saving valuable time on set. It delivers an ultra-high-definition, low-latency feed to professional monitors over SDI, HDMI, or DP, allowing multiple monitors to share the same clean image. For monitoring on the move, connect a phone or tablet to the receiver over USB-C and view the feed in the DJI Ronin app through a stable, high-bitrate wired connection.

DJI Ronin App Monitoring Assistance Tools

DJI SDR Transmission 2 supports PTP camera control, allowing users to view and adjust aperture, shutter speed, and ISO settings, as well as capture photos and start or stop video recording through the app. The transceiver can also wirelessly control RS Series stabilisers via the DJI Ronin app, with support for Force Mobile, virtual joystick, and gimbal recentering features. For Sony cameras, CEC control activates Mirror Control mode.

Power Supply Solutions

The transceiver supports industry-standard NP-F battery types with a voltage range of 6.8 to 8.4 V. DJI SDR Transmission 2 can also be powered via USB-C using a standard PD protocol charger, with a power input rated at 15 V/9 V and 3 A. Its integrated power supply design allows the transceiver to be mounted on and powered directly by DJI RS 5, RS 4 Pro, RS 4, RS 3 Pro, Ronin 2, or Master Wheels, eliminating the need for a separate battery.
