Canon Speedlite EL-5 Ver.2

The next generation Speedlite EL-5 Ver.2 is optimised for the EOS R series multi-function shoe, delivering fast recycling, weather-sealed reliability and now an extended wireless transmission range of up to 50m for greater creative freedom off-camera.

Features you'll love in the EL-5 Ver.2

Optimised for the EOS R series multi-function shoe, the EL-5 Ver.2 combines high-speed performance with a newly extended wireless transmission range for greater flexibility off-camera.

Don't Miss a Scene

High-speed flash charging of 0.1 to 1.2 sec and 95 or more continuous flashes help the EL-5 Ver.2 reliably track the moment you want to shoot, reducing the time delay between photos.

Safeguarded Wherever you Shoot

The EL-5 Ver.2 is carefully crafted with dustproof and moisture-proof sealing to help protect the flash even in difficult shooting conditions.

Light that Adapts to your Subject

An AF-assist beam and LED modelling lamp automatically adjust the amount of light generated, making it less likely to dazzle your subject - ideal for portraits at night. A high-capacity LP-EL lithium-ion battery delivers up to 350 continuous flashes, with battery level clearly shown on the LCD screen so you always know when it's time to recharge.

Now with Extended Wireless Range

The EL-5 Ver.2's only change from the original EL-5 is an extended 2.4GHz radio transmission range of up to approximately 50m (up from approx. 30m), giving photographers more room to position off-camera flash units as sender or receiver.

Compatible Cameras & Accessories

Compatible camera models may require a firmware update to operate the EL-5 Ver.2. Transmission range may be shorter depending on Speedlite positioning, the surrounding environment and weather conditions.
