High Image Quality You Can Rely On

The RF 50mm f/1.8 STM has high image quality over the entire screen from the maximum aperture, providing you with crisp and clear photos. When mounted on EOS R5 or R6, the RF 50mm f/1.8 STM achieves a maximum Image Stabilisation (IS) of 7stops. The cameras and lens combined are corrected shake more accurately, providing sharper and clearer images. It is particularly handy when taking handled photos in dark settings such as night scenes or Indore.

Take Amazing Portrait Shots

The RF 50mm f/1.8 STM with its wide f/1.8 aperture brings you to subject into sharps focus and softly blurs the background. You can create a beautiful round circular bokeh, play around with an extremely shallow depth of field, and even stop movement in dark scenes.

Photograph A Wide Range Of Scenes With A Natural Perspective

The RF 50mm f/1.8 STM provides a similar field of vision to the human eye. This allows you to shoot a variety of expressions by simply adjusting the aperture, shooting distance, angle and composition. With one less you can shoot multiple scenes such as portrait, landscapes, snapshots and foods.

Get Closer To Your Subjects

The RF 50mm f/1.8 STM has a minimum focusing distance of 0.3m and supports quarter macro shooting with a minimum shooting magnification of 0.5x. This makes it ideal for shooting small subjects such as desserts.
