The Canon CR-N400 is a 4K 60p output-capable PTZ camera that delivers 12G-SDI connectivity, a high-performance engine, and powerful zoom capabilities. Available in black or white, it features a 1/2.3” type CMOS sensor with approximately 7.9 megapixels (3840 x 2160), supporting 4K 60p output in 4:2:2 10-bit across SDI, HDMI, and IP interfaces. Key video output formats include 3840 x 2160 at up to 59.94p for SDI and IP, with USB limited to full HD 30p.

Outstanding Image Quality and Zoom

This camera includes a 20x optical zoom lens with a focal range of 29.3 to 601mm and a horizontal angle of view from 65.5° (wide) to 3.6° (tele). It offers digital zoom up to 40x and a built-in, motor-operated ND filter (1/8 at maximum, gradation ND). An optical-shift image stabiliser ensures steady footage, while gamma options such as Normal1 (Standard), Normal3 (BT.709), Wide DR, and Canon Log 3 provide flexible image quality modes in BT.2020 or BT.709 colour spaces.

Professional Features and Connectivity

Designed for professional use, the CR-N400 employs Dual Pixel CMOS AF with modes including hybrid AF, eye AF, head detection AF, face AF, tracking, face priority AF, and face-only AF. Pan and tilt ranges are ±170° horizontal and -30° to +100° vertical, both at speeds from 0.1° to 100°/s. It supports gen-lock, XLR 3-pin audio input for two channels, a φ3.5mm stereo mini-jack mic input, and protocols like XC, Visca over IP, NDI, and FreeD, with power via PoE+ or 24V DC external supply.
