Avenger Buccaneer Stand 3m / 9.84 ft

The Avenger Buccaneer Stand sets a new standard in heavy-duty cine lighting support with its industry-first low loading height of 94 cm (3.1 ft). Designed to meet the needs of professional cinematographers, this stand provides a safer and more efficient workflow by eliminating the need for overhead lifting when mounting heavy lights. Ideal for demanding film sets and studios, the Buccaneer allows for fast and precise setup, enabling crews to focus on creative execution.

The dual-handled crank and winch-driven column system allows operators to smoothly adjust the stand’s height with minimal effort, reaching a maximum height of 3 meters (9.84 ft). This makes the Buccaneer versatile for a variety of lighting setups, from low-angle shots to overhead illumination. Its robust construction supports an 80 kg (176.3 lbs) payload, making it capable of handling even the largest and most advanced lighting fixtures.

Engineered for stability and mobility, the Buccaneer features a wide 187 cm (73.6 in) footprint for maximum support, ensuring stability even under heavy loads. The stand’s puncture-proof foam-filled wheels are designed to handle rugged terrains, and their multidirectional locking mechanism allows for secure positioning and easy maneuverability on set. For uneven ground, the stand includes three leveling legs, ensuring consistent stability across various shooting environments.

The Buccaneer’s design is optimized for professional workflows, incorporating a 28 mm (1-1/8”) junior receiver for compatibility with industry-standard fixtures. Additional features such as a ballast mounting point and integrated storage options for accessories make it an invaluable asset on set. The compact folding design and transportation castors allow for seamless storage and transport between locations, adding convenience to its robust performance.

Features and Usage

The Buccaneer is particularly suited for productions requiring fast-paced changes in lighting setups. Its low loading height enables a single operator to manage heavy equipment without additional crew, saving time and reducing the risk of injury. The dual-handled crank system provides precise control over height adjustments, ensuring lighting is positioned exactly as needed. Whether on a studio floor or uneven outdoor terrain, the Buccaneer’s stability and flexibility make it a reliable choice for high-stakes productions.

With TÜV, CE, and UKCA certifications, the Buccaneer is engineered to meet the most stringent safety and performance standards, giving users confidence in its reliability during extended shoots. This stand is ideal for professionals working in cinema, television, or commercial productions who demand a combination of safety, strength, and usability.
