Tether Tools TetherPro USB 2 Active Extension 5m Black

TetherPro cables are the preferred choice of professional photographers and videographers worldwide. Known for their signature high-visibility orange colour, these cables have become synonymous with tethered photography. Built to the highest USB specifications, TetherPro cables incorporate advanced technology to ensure fast, stable, and reliable data transfers, making them ideal for demanding shooting environments.

The TetherPro USB 2.0 Active Extension Cable, available in a 16-foot (5m) length, allows users to extend tethering distances without worrying about signal errors or data corruption. Active extension cables buffer signals to maintain consistent quality and meet USB's strict electrical and timing standards. Users can daisy-chain up to four active extensions along with one 15-foot (4.6m) passive cable, reaching up to 80 feet (24m) in total without compromising signal integrity.

Setting up the extension cable is simple-connect the male end to your computer and the female end to your camera's USB cable, ensuring the built-in repeater is closest to the device. For greater distances, add additional 16-foot active extensions as needed. Always check your equipment manufacturer's specifications to ensure compatibility. For improved cable management, Tether Tools offers accessories like the JerkStopper Extension Lock and a full range of Cable Retention Devices.
