Product Overview

Tamron 25-200mm F/2.8-5.6 Di III VXD G2 Lens for Sony E Mount

The Tamron 25-200mm F/2.8-5.6 Di III VXD G2 (Model A075) is the successor to the 28-200mm F/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD (Model A071), reimagined as an advanced 2nd-generation "G2" model. Marking Tamron's 75th anniversary, this lens builds on its legacy as the pioneer of all-in-one zoom lenses. It retains a compact design while extending the wide end from 28mm to 25mm and maintaining the 200mm telephoto range. The lens delivers enhanced image quality and faster, more precise autofocus through Tamron's VXD (Voice-coil extreme-torque Drive) linear motor. It also offers half-macro shooting with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:1.9 at the 25mm wide end.

How does the VXD autofocus system improve performance for action photography?

The VXD (Voice-coil extreme-torque Drive) autofocus system is designed to provide fast and precise focusing, making it ideal for capturing fast-moving subjects such as sports and pets. The 1:1.9 maximum magnification ratio allows photographers to capture detailed close-up shots at the 25mm focal length, making this lens versatile for macro photography. Its versatile focal range also allows videographers to capture a variety of scenes, from wide landscapes to close-ups.

What types of photography are best suited for this lens?

This lens is incredibly versatile and can be used for various types of photography, including landscapes, portraits, street photography, wildlife, and macro photography. Its all-in-one zoom range from 25mm to 200mm allows photographers to adapt to different shooting conditions without needing to change lenses, making it an excellent choice for travel and everyday use.

How does the lens utility software enhance the user experience?
