The Sony ILMEFX3A Cinema Line FX3A Full Frame E-mount Camera differs from theILMEFX3 with new updates including:

  • The LCD monitor has changed with a dot count increase from 1,440,000 dots on the FX3 to 2,359,296 dots on the FX3A.
  • Power consumption has only very slightly increased - the number of shots that can be taken when using the LCD monitor has changed from 580 on the FX3 to 570 on the FX3A.
  • The NFC and infrared remote control receiver have been removed (and subsequently the NFC logo will be removed from the body).
  • The included charger will change from the BCQZ1 to the BCZD1.

The Sony Cinema Line FX3 Full Frame E-mount Camera uses a high performance BIONZ XR image-processing engine providing approx. 10.2 megapixels (effective) for movies, Approx. 12.1 megapixels (effective) for still images.

4K Video Quality

For uninterrupted 4K/60p recording, the FX3 is designed with an innovative heat dissipation system. Heatsink placement, airflow structure and a silent cooling fan work to optimise cooling even during long shoots.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

The Sony Cinema Line FX3 Full Frame E-mount Camera supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. A network connection, via Wi-Fi or wired via a USB type C connector, provides support for remote control from smartphones or tablets.

ISO 80-102400

The Sony Cinema Line FX3 Full Frame E-mount Camera has a native ISO range of 80-102400 (Movies) which can be expanded to ISO 409600.

Optional Viewfinder

The Sony FX3 doesn't have an electronic viewfinder. The camera offers zoom control for use with a servo zoom or when using Sony's digital zoom, clear zoom.

3.0" LCD Screen

The 3" (1.44 million-dot) LCD touch-screen panel features a side-opening design to allow flexible positioning and improved visibility when the camera is mounted on gimbals.
